Default 347 vs 370 differance

Assuming each motor is in identical cars with the same D1 procharger and same 3.4" blower pulley with same heads, exhaust, intake ect ect what would the likely power difference be between the two? I know the 370 would be more efficient but the 347 would weigh more in my case due to the aluminum vs iron block. Just trying to see if the extra power of the 370 iron blocked motor would offset the weight savings of reusing my aluminum block.

you could look at it a buncha different ways, but in general, it will boil down to this,......the extra cubes making more torque and power. that power will be needed to make up for the parasitic loss of the blower on the engine. the more NA power the better. Get a good cam from Martin or Liljon and good luck.

Straight line racing or turns? Straight iron turns aluminum.

Why would the 347 weigh more? All else being equal they will be close in hp but the tq on the 370 should be a little better

The 370 will offer you more torque. For the most part your blower will dictate maximum power available, not engine size.

Either could be had with aluminium block.
