With the 96 I would expect 4000-4500 depending on gear. Keep the charge pipes small and divided. It should still work. Get the right cam and converter.

5.3 with a standard S480 in my brother's car comes on around 4000rpm and builds boost with rpm like a supercharger. It has the wrong cam, converter, and oversized hotside.

With the right components, it would be a lot better.

2.5 hot side is probably to big. Run a 2.25 hot side. Get a custom cam spec'd that knows what your intentions are with the car and a loose stall that hits hard around 3800-4000.

2 inch hotside, divided to the turbo, and a isky 212 cam for big down low if you are worried about bottom end

Denmah, your buddy with the foxbody did that spool valve setup that was basically both sides merged into one half of the turbine housing, then a wastegate that went from the drivers side manifold over to the other half of the turbine. Was that worth the trouble you think or is it better to just stay divided?
