I still don't think a GN is a muscle car off the factory showroom floor.

You are talking about FRAUD involving the NHRA....are you serious? You think they would get involved in something like that? Don't you would think that it would leaked out and that GM or Ford would have already made a press conference?? You are just in denial. How many more "ifs" you can think off?

Doge/Chrysler has a history of doing crazy **** like this in the past. Its not the first time.

I'm thinking they may have done something like this...

Scroll halfway down the page -
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t_first_drive/

I remember when the GTR was released same kind of hype, then you started getting more pieces to the puzzle. I have seen the GMG video, but Dodge really needs some attention. Of the three current Muscle Cars the Challenger is the slowest selling one, and by a long shot.

I find it kind of awkward that they hand the cars out to the auto mags first look/review to let them drive and instead of throwing it on a drag strip, they throw them on a road course instead. I would think they would want more proof of the cars drag racing pedigree then what it can do on a road course. The above is the only one I saw any mention of drag times and that was using Dodge's App for timing.

Ok, you confuse me. The first part of your statement, you're saying it couldn't have been a ringer because NHRA was involved, and that would be fraud. You do realize that the only thing NHRA certified was the timing, mph, distance, essentially the track. NHRA certified means it's not some guy with a meter stick measuring off the distance and another guy holding a stopwatch to get the times. NHRA didn't certify that the car was stock.
Then you say that Dodge/Chrysler has a history of doing crazy **** like this in the past.... crazy **** like what? Putting out a ringer to get media attention?

You guys seem to forget the past history of companies putting out high performance cars that didn't live up to the hype. Anyone remember the 98/99 Mustang Cobras that were supposed to be 300hp, but once customers got them, they dyno'd a measly 200-220 and Ford recalled them and replaced cylinder heads and cams?

So I'll just wait till I see the public go down the track before I accept that it's a 11.2 stock, and 10.86 with drag radials.

I think this car is going to hurt some feelings once it hits the streets.

Nobody seems to want to even think about what it will do with a pulley swap and some tuning

At best, it gives the next ZL1 a legit shot at getting the new LT4 motor in an effort to keep up

I don't know, hence why I'm asking, but do all three of the supercharged cars run the same blower? If that's the case, then I don't see a pulley swap getting the hellcat much more since it's probably being spun higher/harder than the other two.

Who knows.

It would be interesting to add a meth kit to it and see what some extra timing and boost would do.

Crazy **** like unusual cars that the public and other companies didnt expect. Like this car in terms of horsepower. In the past the Superbird cars, recently spreading power to a lot of levels like the SRT8 lineup....who thought a factory Jeep would be running next to some Corvettes?? That kind of crazy ****.

If I remember correctly it's a 2.4L IHI blower and max boost is 11.6psi

It is a 2.4l blower and the max boost is 11.6lbs on stock blower. Does anyone else know if that is the highest amount of boost pressure on a car coming from the factory with forced induction?

I always thought boosted cars from the factory usually only come out swinging with 6-8lbs of boost... And I am talking V8 boosted cars from factory. Not 4 bangers or 6 cylinders, obviously those engines would come with lots more boost.

The funny thing is that 5, 10, 20, 40 yrs from now there will still be some pushing the argument about it's actual performance regardless of what's proven.

Myself I really hope it does everything they're saying it's capable of; but I'm not holding my breath!

I'm not arguing, I just want to see someone other than Dodge run the number.

Gn's pushed out 21-22psi stock if you just added an extra spring over the factory waste gate spring. Easy pizzy. Adding lots of octane of course.

I said V8 forced induction cars... Of course boosted v6s or 4 bangers will come with a lot more boost from the factory than a boosted v8 from the factory.
