Default Huron kit, can't figure out the oil return.. opinons?

Trying to work out the oil return for my Huron kit but its really kicking my *** right now. Worse case I guess I can always run an oil pump though for the sake of simplicity, I'm trying to avoid it! So I clocked the center section back to get the drain attached behind the turbine flange (the oil discharge flange bolted to the center section will not clear the actual turbine flange so it either sits just ahead of the turbine, or just behind it), and this is what I got:

While it does sit a little 'straighter', it also leaves the center section at a pretty extreme angle as seen here:

So I tried clocking the center section forward again and running the line above the exhaust, but the the angle of the return is again very upwards:

Again, can't clock it anymore with the discharge attached:

..any ideas? Time to consider a discharge pump? I will say, aside from this issue, it's a helluva kit, looking forward to getting this thing moving soon!!

Have you tried pm'ing jon? He usually gets back asap. Ive seen people use a 45 degree fitting on the drain side of the turbo. Looks like you'll be having clearance issues with the straight fitting and that 90 degree bend

Your oil drain flange is to thick, which is making the drain hang down to low. This is flange I used:

Here's a picture of my setup using that flange with a -10 drain.

We used to supply a pair of 1/2" NPT to -10an with our feed and drain line kits but recently added in the angled drain flange we used for our A/C kits, but agree for this kit it does appear too thick making the line hang too low off the flange from the very beginning.

OP: I have a few of those flanges in the link in stock and will ship you one out tomorrow!!

Also note we will be stocking these flanges as linked for use in our feed and drain line kits from now on!

Jon

Thanks Jon! I actually had an old 45* laying around here on a shorter line and that actually made a notable improvement as far as straightening the line, but I still think a thinner flange will help clock the turbo into a more favorable position. Thanks for the continued support!
