That's why I didn't go with an F1. Great numbers but these days 1200 and 1300whp are needed

We have totally different goals and budgets. An f1x could hit that power on a 10-rib. Good luck with your cog belt and 6l80, those are two things I've never seen work reliably.

They're for the rear to clear the 15" wheel (along with some other modifications)

Whoa!! Hey!!! I didn't mean to offend you. I just thought that was alot of work and alot of money for just a little over 100rwhp extra. Your hands have got to be killing you. Like I said. Good numbers.
Also the 6L80E will hold...I'm talking I watched it get built. Custom made straight from the machine shop tig welded engineered build. Circle D warrantied and sponsored my build if that tells you anything. They are that confident. If it crap out, I don't even have to pull it.

I have ran into all kinds of issues with the DART Block so I still have alot of wiring to clean up. But as I promised. Here is my First Start Up. 454 F2 LS Iron Dart Block F2 Procharger.

I don't think Jeff was mad. I think he did the same thing you did, which is offer constructive criticizm about what parts he picked etc... But I'm going to back Jeff up and LYK that Circle D WILL be pulling that trans for sure! LOL! They have been trying to get one of those things to hold up for years! RPM gave up so did Rossler. Plus I know a couple of ppl they sponsered befor and the 6L80's they build for those cars didn't hold at less power than what yours should make. Those are a couple red flags for me right off the bat. But I do wish you luck with it for sure. I'd love to see it work for you. Just the past experiences that I've seen says it will be a belt throwing monster, or transmission crusher. Or both. Brett has been working on his cog setup for a long time and said he thinks he has if figured out finally. But I haven't seen him post up and final conclusive results. Mike (Flyinmedic) had an F2 on his ZO6 and made lots of power @1500 at one point. Had a few motor issuse, and throwing belts was a way of life for that car. He'd ge a few pulls out of it and ZING there goes the belt tearing up his insulator lol! GL! I'm going to check your video out of your car I'm sure it sound nice though.

Yea, didn't mean to offend, just short typing my opinion on my phone in the mobile view of the forum.

There was another cog F2 car built in southern california that never worked, sold it to a guy in colorado that could never get it to work. After going through ~$1,000 in broken belts I've never seen him post again about the car actually.

There was also an F2 cog car here in Kansas City that popped belts every ~20 miles if you got on it at all. That car got torn down and parted out.

Come to think of it, there was also another cog car that got sold to a shop out in the east coast. They ended up parting out the blower and cog stuff and building it as a rib belt driven race car for super/ultra street.

I'm just saying if it were me I'd run the F2 on a 12 rib, or I'd run a 10 rib F1X through a powerglide.

10-4. If it sucks and it throws belts then Dallas Performance will be giving me a refund on the Cog Drive.

Did you get that in writing? Cause 2 of the 3 I know of were DP setups. Flyin Medic had the car done by them too, so not install errors that I'm aware of. I think that bracket costs more than my motor, so I hope it works for ya too. You could convert to 12 rib maybe on that same bracket

I wasn't going to say anything about the refund coment, because I understand how pissed I'd be as well and that would be my first reaction too. But I dought there is any thing you can MAKE any co. or shop refund your money. But I'd try as well lol!

If your setup is for race and your throwing a really wide cog driven belt and it doesn't work it should be refunded.
