Default D1SC Custom Build...Question Before I Head To The Tuner

I've been working on a custom D1SC install for my 2000 Camaro for ... hell, seems like two years. I'm to the point that I'm about finished and ready to head to G-Force for tuning and I have a question that I need help with.

The last two things that I need to do is install 60# injectors and a 2-Bar Map sensor that I have. My car has the stock Map and 37# injectors now. G-Force is about an hour away from me and I will be driving the car.

Can I install the new injectors and Map sensor before driving to the tuners? Or should I just have them install these things once the car is there?

I appreciate any advice given

Install once you get there. Take the tools to do it and discuss it with the tuner to see how he wants to deal with it.

I installed my injectors in the parking lot before I got tuned. I'd do everything once you get there. I had issues with my MAP sensor install, didn't read up on it much. The car didn't start because I didn't load the 2 Bar tune before I installed it....PITA!

You can't put the 60's in w/o a tune and drive it 1 hr to the tuner.

put the injectors on at home along with the map , then buy triple a and have it towed there. They will tow up to 100 miles i think and you get 3 a year with the membership i have . Gps the miles to make sire your close enough .

I did and it done just fine for 55 miles to the tuner. It drove just like stock with NGK TR6 plugs gaped at .038". Dyno session went as planned.

Just because you were able to, doesn't mean it's the right way to do it.

Original poster, like everyone else has said, I would swap them at the tuner or have it towed there.

Right way or not, I cant say as It was my tuners advice. I was told to simply watch the ltft's and make sure the car was trying to adjust and didnt go over about 20%. It was within the factory computers adjustment range so Im guessing thats why it worked as good as it did.

Swapping injectors takes 15 minutes. Just drive it there a little early and change them out before your tune.

Rent a trailer from U-Haul and tow it over there is what I would do but I own a truck but you are in Texas...I'd help you out if you lived on my side so I know you have friends close for that kind of excursion.
