Talking Just Ordered My Forged Shortblock!!!

I'm soooo excited . . . it's still gonna be a while before my beast is up and running, but at least I'm finally getting it started!!

370ci LQ9, .030 overbore
ARP Head Studs
Ceramic Piston Coating

I will be ordering the cam separately, any suggestions on what to get? I was originally planning on a 224/220, .560 on 115LSA, but now that I'm jumping up to a 370, I'm thinking the cam should be a bit bigger. Obviously I don't want anything too radical.

Heads: 6.0 LQ9, 73cc chambers, 2.02/1.6 valves, and I'm gonna get 'em o-ringed ( for future upgrades of the turbos ) This combo will actually get me to 8.8:1 CR. So jumping from 1.5 to 1.6 on the exhaust valves, gonna run my 918 springs that I already have. Not sure if I'm gonna upgrade to the L19 rod bolts, supposed to be stronger than even 1/2" studs, and no molesting of the block. That's an extra $250 for those. I know @ 10psi I don't really need 'em, but it's planning for the future.

Also, has anyone heard that Mototron just started selling high-impedance 60lb injectors? Pretty pricey from what I hear though . . .

I'm also going to move the battery to the trunk, and move my alky tank up front, to keep that line much shorter than it was.

Also, APE says that my current pump and injectors will limit me, he says the stock fuel lines are OK for now. I thought the stock fuel lines could only do about 600rwhp? I only have the intank 340 that came with the Incon kit, 42lb green-tops, and stock fuel lines.

Thanks Bos. Were they easy to tune? As easy as 42 pounders?

It took the tuner a little bit to get them, I'm not sure EXACTLY how they do it, but they drive the same as the 42's so far, I've only driven the car on motor w/the 60's, no bogging or anything like that......

I am using ARP L19 rod bolts.

I am using L19 head studs.

Terry Hedrick's rule of thumb at Cam Motion is that turbo cars need less camshaft as compared to supercharged cars... So the same rules do not apply. He feels that intake duration over 230 is starting to be race car territory and will adversely affect spool up. But do some research and then go from there.

Thanks John . . . what cam are you currently running? How well do you think a 224/220 with a .560 lift and 115LSA run with my setup?
