Best way to setup initial startup without cold side?
Best way to setup initial startup without cold side? I'd like to do an initial startup to check for leaks and electrical function before I fabricate my cold side and some other odds and ends. Is there a "best" way to do this?
Should I just hook up vacuum to the top of my wastegate and fire it up or what?

If the wastegate doesn't have any boost pressure to open, won't the turbo just sit there and spool up constantly if there's no bypassing?

That's what I did, just leave your turbo off and start it. I had my oil feed inside my drain so no issues there. But also correct, no issues if you leave turbo on, it's just a fancy muffler that actually adds horsepower, lol.
