Default Custom silicone elbows?

Anyone know where to get a custom silicone elbow from or where to find the below elbow?

I need a 4.25" x 3.5" reducing 90 degree elbow (short radius) and cant find them anywhere. Trying to connect my NW 102 to a 3.5" intake tube. I have heard you could squeeze a 4" over the 102 but I don't know what silicone brand would stretch that far and I don't what to do any expensive trial and error guesses.

You can PM me if the supplier is not a sponsor.

Thanks

Just got an email back from them. They said no to custom sizes.

Got I figured out though I think. Got a pm saying you can stretch a particular 4" without problems. Thanks.

intakehoses.com has 4.25 to 4" 90 degree, i dont know if you can run that and then shorten the tube and run a 4' to 3.5" reducer off that.

If the US companies wont help, I know for sure there are a couple of companies in the UK quite happy to make custom stuff.

But there really should be an easy solution available within the US somewhere.

Wish I could just use a 4" intake tube but its an LT1 body style and the ABS is in the way big time and don't want to move stuff around.

I think I will just use the 4" and stretch it. If that doesn't work I will explore more options.

Honestly...custom silicone is expensive. For one,..bends are made by hand. No like a 4x4 straight coupler off a machine. Then...to have offset sizes. Sounds easy but....not really.

Almost better off, and possibly cheaper, to do the bends in aluminum(welding) and use small, straight couplers for your connections.

He's right. OP You'll save yourself time and possibly money by buying some aluminum pieces and having at it. That's what I did with my radiator hoses.

Custom silicone really shouldnt be expensive.

I've had smaller hoses made for the heater custom, and they were very reasonable.

They'd be even cheaper if you could provide the maker with a mould shape.

Intakehoses.com. I got one of their 4" ID and 6" long hoses that replaced the MAF I don't use anymore. Quality stuff for sure.

We buy our silicone in the United States,...it is very expensive, even in large bulk. The most expensive option, is the bends(45's-90's or those with step transitions). It's very expensive in my opinion. High quality...**** that doesn't blow apart under diesel boost conditions...isn't cheap.

China stuff on ebay,...cheap, also hit or miss quality wise. We see it all the time.

It should not be so expensive, especially in the US where everything is cheap.

The major expense for custom work is the base mould itself mainly due to labour making it.
Actually making the silicone hose itself, there isnt much to it.

Truly wish it was cheaper. I don't know of ANY actual USA based manufacture that constructs and sells silicone at a low cost. Actually physically in the US... You can usually tell the difference pretty easily.

One has roast beef curtains....the US ones we use have an extra stitch in it...if that better helps the with the rigidity aspect.

..in the end...we spend $2500 on ecms, 3k on wheels....3k on intake manifolds... $55 bucks for a silicone elbow...isn't all that bad when you look at the big picture.

I can deffinately see the Diesel guys running a higher quality coupler, as they see a lot higher PSI level than most car builds (domestic vehicles at least) I saw the same results and performance in the ebay (JDM Sport) couplers as I did with the 5x as expensive one from RPS and HPS in a 25psi setups. Its all relative in application I suppose.

Yea we don't have different grades. 4 ply. We have reports of over 80PSI..unclear if anyone has gone further then that(probably but no notification).

Silicone shouldn't be "stretchy" or elastic like when new. If it is...likely it's low quality, regardless of how many ply they call it.
