Really just depends on the build. A 4L80E we build will have less parasitic power loss vs a stock 80E because we rollerize them. Some of the bigger power guys who have an aluminum have a much lighter drum shedding a few pounds from the internal rotating weight, decreasing loss further. There is even more you can do beyond that for even less power loss when all said and done. Converter selection, stall and setup all have an effect on power output as well

I know this much.....a th400 only showed a little over 600 at the wheels but goes 10.35 at 135 with a 1.70 60ft in a 3700# car lol. Seems like a auto unlocked will dampen the dyno numbers a bit but not the e/t

23% trans, rear end, and tires. Just saying trans is not the only thing eating HP.

unlocked stock ls2 gto setup
on a engine dyno, flywheel bolted directly to dyno hub, with longtubes on the motor as it sits in the car. but 440ish average wheel hp
then on a dynojet 224x (my dyno) 350~ average on many pulls,
but unlocked stock converter, 60e, to the tire.

i would love to take one of my turbo cars that makes 850whp thru a th400 and see actually what an engine dyno puts down with one of these things haha
