good luck on the turbo swap, its a lot of work making everything fit around the narrow frame and steering junk, but its worth it. my truck is retarded fun around town. That dirty dingo thing looks like might fit an s10, if the forward facing stuff will fit. mine had to be built at a funny angle to fit it all in there.

Check out the pics starting in post #3. On our S10 Blazer build, we used a stock truck manifold on the drivers side and made the log on the pass side. Really wasn't that hard at all.
I kept band-aiding a customers manifolds that another shop in my area built that looked like a novice amateur built in their backyard (no offence to all the novice amateurs that are building stuff in the backyard) and every month the customer was blowing gaskets and complaining of leaks. It's a big no no in metallurgy.

What thickness was the flange you had problems with? I made sure to use a 1/2" flange to help with the warpage/leakage. 3/8" is the absolute thinnest I would consider, and with the heat of a turbo, I would have a hard time justifying the few dollars saved over 1/2"
header flanges u can get anywhere.
you can build your own out of tubular header. instead of a log.
even the stock manifold is abetter design than a log. i dont build logs anymore.
I knew a guy who bought those ebay headers and mounted a turbo right to the end, it cracked the header all over
