Default dyno numbers

well finally got my car tuned i switched to e85
i have a pt88 turbo

370 lq9
400 trans with unlocked converter
9 inch with 28" mickey et

ww ran out of fuel 2-340 pump 8an feed 6an return made it to 14.5 lb boost safe car made

798 rwhp
731 toque

im pretty happy with only 14.5 lbs. i plan upgraning pumps and better boost controller. would like to see what 20 lbs would do.

id figure maybe you were out of injecor. but assuming these are the part number 340 and not 340lph pumps.


nice numbers though. you can look at the ramp rate of the curve....extract an average and get a really good idea of how much power its picking up per psi and get a close estimate on what shes capable of at that pressure.



where is your timing set thus far?

sorry they are 340lph pumps. i believe he said 22 degrees timing, i will have to get the dyno graph i just left there late getting ready to rain so was in a hurry. this is my first lsx car. or turbo car for that matter. lots of fun so far lol.

i have 160lb injectors

damn son you out of pump then. unless you havent bumped the pressure to like 58-60 might squeeze a tad more. plenty of injector. not bad results at all. wish my first lsx car made 800rwhp. lol. i was excited about 393rwhp.

Decent numbers. Pretty comparable to what I made (750 @ 14 psi, 850 @ 16psi). Is this the same car? https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...cs-inside.html

yes it is the same car. i upgrading some things for next year. pumps, and other little things. going to the track next weekend. i have to learn to drive it though.

Curious to see results. Based on that thread it has two walbro 340 pumps which are actually 255 lph. That amount of power is pretty much spot on for those pumps running out. Hopefully he didn't give you high hopes on track results.

if it hooks good 800 should go 9.9-9.5. but me not knowing the car so that wont help. i will prob just foot brake it and get use to the car. i will post time slips. why do you say that about the car

Yep I'll agree. Should go mid-high 9's. The reason I bring it up is because in his for sale thread he said "Car has gone 9.30s at 151 on 10lbs during some soft launch shakedown runs". I called him out on it and he sent me some PM's, but never did prove that it went that fast on that low of boost. The car should be capable of his claim. Just not on 10 psi. Good luck at the track.

yea not on 10lbs it wont. honestly on 14.5 with a new driver foot braking it prob more like a mid 10. would be more realistic .he did have slips in the car that were 9.44 at 144mph. yea i know it wont go low 9 on 10 lbs.

Good deal. At least it sounds like someone realistic bought the car.
Who tuned it this time? Was it at 22° before with the meth injection and left there for now or was timing adjusted on e85 this time around?

i live in indiana hoosier street cars tunes. they have some 1200-1300 rwhp transam and gtos. the guys is a eletrical enegineer during the the day, but tunes at niight. he said whoever tuned that had no business tuning cars at all. he worked to it for three days straight just to get all the tables back. if you message me your number i can send you what the driviablity table looked like. he said parts they used on the car were good ones, he would of done somethings diferently but we all say that about something.lol how you talk you know what a table should look like pm me your number and ill send it to you. its great

we didnt use there tune at all. made our own so the 22 is around e85, little fat but safe .

you still on the stock fuel lines and just the twin 340 pumps? FPR?

Question for you all - will e85 make the same or more power than gasoline all things being equal? I have an LQ9 and with about 15psi I'm pulling about 440 lbs/hr which I dont think is 700+ rwhp.

^^Usually allows for more power due to E85 characteristics. As an example, my buddies 2JZ setup did 590's on 93 octane then went to the pump dropped some E85 (was actually E80 blend) and tuned to 760 rwhp.....nothing changed physically it was all in the capabilities of the tune due to the E85.

no i run a 8an feed line with a 6 an return line. e85 is 105 octane, but make sure its e85 not e70 because you can blow up a blower car easy if you think its e85 and its not its e70. well next summer when it is e85 you are getting out of the pump you will go lean and blow it up.

Alcohol/Methanol resists detonation allowing you to run more timing or boost or both. Add in the fact that you are dumping anywhere from 30% to 50% more fuel then you would with gasoline it has a cooling effect allowing you to make more power with less heating issues.
