Making a Ported M90 Work?
I want to install it as remote mount on my ls1 swapped 91 camaro. It has a 236/238 601 camshaft with longtube headers.
From my understanding, a stock M90 will become a restriction at higher RPM's. So my question is, if I port the M90 as much as possible and use the correct size pulley, will I see gains all across the powerband? I am not looking for crazy high HP numbers at all. Simply, all I want is a really fun street car, with a supercharger whine.
Or, is there absolutely no hope with gains from a M90?
BTW, I want to retain my stock hood, therefore the M90 appeals to me because it is on the smaller size of the superchargers. I can always upgrade to a procharger or magnuson later down the road.
