Default Opinions on my Foxbody build?

Well, I have had this roller for like a year and a half, and am just about where I can afford to spend some money on it.

The car is a 1991 Foxbody LX, currently it is stripped, and has an 8-Point Cage from Team Z, it is 4130 though. I have done all of the body work, and the cage, and thats about it. I am curious what your opinions are on the powerplant.

• 6.0L, hopefully an 05+, will get bearings and rings, as well as rod bolts.
• LS9 Head Gaskets
• ARP Head Studs (Proud USA man, I'll pay more.)
• BTR Stage 2 Turbo Cam
• BTR .660 Springs and Retainers
• I MAY do some head work, nothing major
• LS6 Intake/TB
• Truck Manifolds with V-Bands
• 2 1/4" Crossover
• Borg S475 (96/1.32)
• 5" Downpipe
• Vibrant 875HP FMIC
• TH400, any good semi cheap options?
• PTC Converter
• Built 8.8" (35 Spline, 3.50s)
• Team Z Suspension
• Strange Shocks and Struts
• 03/04 Cobra Brakes and 5 Lug
• Dual Bosch 044
• FIC 120lb Injectors
• Pump E85
• 0411 PCM/PSI Harness
• Weld RT-S
• Pro 275 DRs

How much hp are you looking to make, and I would consider a glide for this build.

Looking to make 6-700whp. I want to go mid-9s at least. I'm staying TH400, I want to do some "other" activities, and another gear helps.

You realize 3rd gear in a TH400 is 1 to 1 correct? High gear in a Glide is 1 to 1 as well.

Yes, I do realize that, it will still remain a street car, and I would rather have a TH400 on the street.

For the Glide to perform optimally it will need a 3.73-3.90 rear gear. Not too friendly for street driving.

The lower ratio of the TH400 low gear allows a 3.08-3.42 rear gear to be utilized which is a much better compromise for a street car.

If it were a race car I'd say go with a Glide all day long.

Its a 60/40 street strip car, I plan on taking it to TX2K as well. The TH400 stays. Martin, opinions other than the trans one?

You can hit your goal easy with a 5.3 same years 05 plus and save 300 plus right there and you could just open up the stock rings and leave it stock other than the studs cam and springs. Also your fuel system is a little over kill unless you're looking to grow a bunch. With that savings you could get a decent buck th400 fmvb t brake for 1300 to 1800. Otherwise looks like a good build idea just a few things that might help you save and get a few more things on your wish list

Just a thought but the Borg is big. If you'll be happy with 700, there is other options that are much smaller and would hit 700.

I'm going with the 6.0L, I plan to forge it and do an 88mm eventually. I talked to Steven at North Texas Converter and am going to use one of his rebuild kits for a TH400. As far as the turbo, I just choose it because its cheap.

Definitely nothing wrong with anything.. I'm sure it will run strong.
