Default Off the shelf turbo kit calabilities

I am getting ready to start a turbo build on my trans am. I will be using my stock block and crank ls1 with wiseco pistons and lunati rods with probably 317 heads. Cam will be a custom lil john piece. And probably a vic sr intake with single blade tb and elbow. Goal for the car will be to make it the 800-900 hp range and go mid/high fives in the 8th

I was planning on using a garrett gt series 76mm turbo.

Question is, how much can off the shelf kits handle? Specificaly the huron speed t4 v2 kit or possibly their new t6 kit? Will it hold up with that power level? Will it be effecient? If it comes down to it, i can probly make my own kit, i am a machinist/fabricator by trade. At this point though i think i would rather buy.

Opinions and suggestions welcome, thanks

They will definetly make that power as far as the turbo kit is concerned

I think they will hold up just fine. I plan to go with their T6 kit my self.

Our old V1 Truck Manifold kit with a 3" down pipe and a PT7875 made 922 rwhp on a customers 5.3l!

We have plenty of customers on our old V1 kits and also the new V2 kits making 800-900 rwhp with just the 3" down pipe. I haven't received any results from the few customers that opted for the larger 4" down pipe and mid-frame T4's but have no doubts that set-up can see 1000+ to the wheels.

T6 kit... 4 digits is easy, I can't wait to see some more results from the customers I know that will be pushing it hard with our upgraded intercooler and full 5" down pipe! Keep your eyes out for a lot of results on these T6 set-ups soon as many customers will be getting them on soon! I am sure quite a bit will surpass the 1000 and even 1200 mark

Oops, my mistake. I just checked and it was an older model Precision 7875 that did the 922!

Im pretty much building the car around ultra street rules. I dont plan on ever being a player in ultra but building a car around those rules should open up alot of options for some local stuff.

Im leaning more towards the t6 style kit to leave room to grow. Will be either a billet 76mm or cast 80mm. Engine size is a for sure thing though
