Default 404 cid D1SC procharger build

https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1416364798

These are some issues we ran into while putting the short block together. We had to clearance the block for the Manley H beam connecting rod bolts.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1416364798

Even though the ross piston were clearanced for the reluctor wheel there still was inadequate clearance on number 8 so we had too do some additional clearancing so no contact would acquire.

Installing the Ross supercharged pistons after filing to the rings to .24 and .26 on the second.

A little more about my build!
Just getting started building an LS2 that will be going in a 2001 camaro SS using livernois 404 cid stroker kit, D1SC pro charger, TEA stage 2 243 heads. Peak Speed extreme port job on LS2 intake with a 102 mm throttle body. A big shout out to vengeance racing as they have been instrumental in supplying parts and expert advice, will keep you posted in the following weeks!

How many PSI? I know the D1SC has great power potential, but why not an F series blower?

The D1SC will make you quite happy with the 404. You'll make a solid 800hp/750tq if you spin it.

Enjoy.

It will be interesting to see what the results are. On builds like this I've always seen an F-1A make more power than a D-1SC when a D-1SC is being pushed to it's limit. Bob

Ill bee running around 14 to 15 lbs of boost. And the reason I didn't go with the F-1A pro charger is because I'm trying to keep the car as street able as possible, but I will be taking it to the track as well to see what kind of numbers i can put up!

That should not be a problem at all. We built the CTS-V below at the old shop. We started with a new LS2 block, added a Callies 4.0 stroker crankshaft, Compstar rods, Diamond pistons for 9.5/1 compression with 72cc heads, Total Seal file to fit rings, our blower cam, AFR 72cc 225 heads, an LS2 intake mainfold, Kooks 1-7/8 heads, and an F-1A blower at 14.4 psi. It made 809 rwhp. We then at a later time swapped out the LS2 intake for a FAST 92 and lost 2 psi of boost but power shot up from 809 to 864 rwhp. The dyno sheet can be seen at this link. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Brute-Spe...d-Camshaft.htm The owner of this V is in his 60's and has driven this V on several long distance trips. This V has been together for many years and I talked to the owner this year and it is still running just fine. He took the car to another shops dyno day and it made 900 rwhp on their dyno!

The point is you can have all this power, but if you don't go wot the car will drive just fine. You can also short shift it so you don't built up all that boost. Bob

It's going to be a fun setup for sure. You'll probably top our horsepower wise around 800 at the wheel, but you'll make killer torque, probably close to 750 or more.
