Crossover Pipe material Im starting to build my crossover pipe for my lq4 turbo build. I happen to have a bunch of 2.5 inch 304ss 16 gauge piping laying around. Is this thick enough material or should I go with something thicker. What are some other sizes people have run?

I am running schedule 10 304L stainless from ace stainless. Really nice stuff. Not too expensive either for 2". Inside diameter actually comes out to about 2 1/4". IMO 16 guage will crack over time with super high heat.

Thanks for the help guys. I think im gonna go to 2.25 inch. What manifolds are you guys using? I was leaning towards c6 ls2 manifolds since I don't have a ton of space to work with in between my frame rail and the motor

I'm using the hooker LS conversion manifolds. Nice pieces and reasonably priced. I couldn't get any stock LS manifolds that would work in my application with out major mods...........which cost money, so why not buy something that works outa the box?
