Default Where to get a budget low profile 16 injector intake

Does anyone have a source on a low profile intake that would fit under a 04-06 GTOs factory hood.
Needs to be a 16 injector setup or something that can be modified for 16 injectors.
Something sub $1500 would be nice.

How many inches are there between the factory intake and bottom of the hood? The price point unfortunately seems way to low for anything that's custom made. Hogan and Marcella's seem to start close to $3k.

I'm not up on what's currently available over the counter or what a good fabricator would charge to re-work a Holley, Edelbrock, or other piece. Saw this on Ebay, was wondering if it could lead you in the right direction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS1-LS2-2-AL...-/311201578018

Good luck!

Thanks for the link, I did see that before but I think the extra 3 inches will be too much towards the throttle body.

I am considering simply adding injectors to my stock LS2 manifold but I would need to source some serious epoxy to hold the aluminum bungs in place.

Its either that or keep my dual 14gph meth nozzles but I'd prefer better control over a larger amount of the secondary fuel.

The cast Alum typhoon style intakes aren't a big performance intake. But they could be modified to accept 16 injectors and fit under the hood. Cost around $350 Should fall in your budget range.

Holley also makes a similar intake.

This one is only $260...

the polished one looks like a hit for 260 can wilson or someone a bit more affordable weld on the bungs? I wouldn't epoxy and modify the stock intake. I talked to a few folks about doing this and it wasn't too feasible for a boosted application and there are concerns about an injector breaking lose and causing a fire

I'm looking to do dual fuel with a haltech s2000 with pump gas on the primary and alchy with some big 127 injectors on the secondary

looking for a good source to do this mod!! thanks.

Yea the whole injector blowing out crossed my mind a few times.

I may give that cheap intake a try, they have a non polished one for $215.00...can't get much cheaper then that.

I would go with the Typhoon intake. Performs somewhat similar to the LS6 with less torque down low but slightly more power way up at 6000+ RPM. Should outperform the LS2 intake with the exception of similar low-end torque.

You can score them for ~$250 brand new. Only downside is that you have to run gaskets because they don't come with O-rings. It seems like a real win/win situation when wanting to go budget and aluminum at the same time. The next affordable option from there is the BBK intake.

thanks! nice parts

I'm also looking into just doing direct port alchy using the haltech with a driver box to control the motor. it would be a bit cheaper and since I have 127 lb injectors I can use those to go E85 with the flex fuel sensor

thoughts? I have 16 injectors on my old 95 Lingenfelter ZR-1 and they work VERY nice

staged injectors I hear is a bit difficult to program with having 2 fuel tables

anyone know some really competent with the Haltech and tuning dual stage injection?

I'm broke right now and lost my job so I'll be doing alot of scrounging and planning but unfortunately not much building for a while until I land something!
