Sould i pulley down a size or no?
My car is at PCM of NC being tuned after they installed my d1sc with race front mount and aster bracket... made 622rwhp with a 4.38 pulley at 10 lbs boost and alvin is saying it looks like it wants more boost and it still should be safe... Should i pulley down to a 4.25 or a 4.13 for a few more pounds or stay where im at?? Back ground of car is 1998 6 speed trans am with moser 9 inch 4.11 gear tick built trans 01 ls1 block rebuilt with stock crank stock rods with arp 2000 rod bolts mahle power pak forged pistons rings -4cc valve reliefs ls9 head gaskets arp head bolts all mahle clevite bearing throughout Advanced inductions blower cam with 317 AI heads milled to 65cc chambers with 226/232 runners so roughly 9.8:1 compression ... just want a safe reliable car only bring it out on nice days and goes to the track maybe 3-4 times a year

With your car having the factory rods, although you have arp 2000 rod bolts, I would keep it as is. Bob

Just like Bob said, with factory rods, I'd be careful.
Can it make more power, and be safe, for a while, sure. How long, noone can say. If you want more power, I'd start the process of buying a new shortblock because if you lose a rod, there's chances it can take the block with it.

No, as the power goes up so does internal forces. Bob

Just 93 pump gas no meth.. Not sure on the rest of your questions I trust Alvin with his tuning and decisions so we are pulleying down to a 4.13.. Should have final number tomorrow but he said he kept giving it timing and it was responding really well which usually means it wants more boost.. So we're gonna give her 2-3 lbs more and back off the timing

No doubt, they usually like all the boost you can give them. You just have to be careful. Bob
