I may be interested in getting some stuff from you....
The original engine was a 472. The 500 only came in the El Dorados.

Now boys......

I sold the old motor/trans together, motor went in an airboat as most old caddy motors do lol.....
The 500 bottom end was out of a 74/75, the heads had two different casting numbers, both same cc's, one being original to the car, and another that would have been on a commercial car, neither had smog rails cast in them witch is exclusive to 1970, and certain comercial cars, think the old man that had it before me knew his stuff lol

Well, there's no incredible story.......I was driving white, hadnt even spun a tire......it was raining and the road was flooded, I couldn't swerve cause I had hadnt checked to see if anybody was beside me, so I let off the gas, was only doing about 30, slowed down.....and motor died. I cannot believe this happened. This thing has wheel well liners, a filter , and still manages to ingest enough water to hydrolock

I would be ok if I had a "it went out in a blaze of glory" story to go along with this passing of a motor. This could have happened to any car, I mean why couldnt I have been doing an incredible smokey burnout and have a boost spike, or ran it out of meth, or something! Just anything else!

Oh man...I am really sorry to hear all that. Maybe this is the excuse you needed to stuff it full of forged parts and really turn it up?

I am lucky to have another complete running 6.0 that I will just cam/spring/pushrods swap and stick it in.....not even gonna bother with gaskets/studs....

But yes plan on salvage this block and crank forge it , and I have some ls3 heads to go with it.

Bummer-I have done it with fuel, came close with water.
Did the roll back charge you by the foot, that's a long ride.
