Man those little turbos are doing work! Great build, you had a plan and stuck with it and got great results. No bs and 40 pages of other people chiming in with nonsense. Keep us updated!

Appreciate it man
It's a fairly simple setup, I'm happy it's working well so far

I'm pretty sure it would make 800 plus with a little more boost and the converter locked
The graph starts to flatten a little at 6200 and stays there until 6900 at anything over 14psi

I think my ebay air filters are a pretty big restriction
I thought about pulling them off and locking the converter but it wasn't worth the effort just to get a dyno number

Hopefully I can figure out how to make a pass in it to back it up...lol

Finally put a decent tire on the car, it's hard to find a wheel that fits gtos well
These aren't perfect but with air in the airbags they're working good

Flushed the diff and put some royal purple back in it
Feels a lot tighter than before

Planning on going to the track again his weekend and seeing if I can turn it up a bit and get it to hold

Little buggers are doing a good job...

I would love to see the hp and spool difference between your BB turbo's and these...

There's a link on the previous page to the turbos
There's a local guy here Jim parkison that tunes a lot of really fast turbo cars, he's done an awesome job so far

I think those turbos would run almost exactly like these do, might be just a little lazier to start spooling but it looks like that has just a little smaller exhaust wheel, so I doubt it.

I went to the track last night and almost put it in the wall, got a little greedy with the duty cycle and it got really sideways and wasn't coming back
Spun a complete 360 at about 90-100

Might keep it on low boost for a while until I can get the car sorted well enough to take some more power

Started making some progress again
Changed the rear shocks, put some new non leaking airbags in the rear to cut down on the wheel hop, and changed the diff fluid again

Seems to be leaving hard and straight on the street again
Have a big no prep race 2 weeks from now at an old 1/8 mile track
if I can get it to make some decently fast no prep 1/8 passes I'll turn it back up and try and make it go deep into the 10s at the closest 1/4 track.

If I can get it to 60 as well as it did last year, and mph what it has been this year, it should have no problem going bottom 10s

I am getting ready to undertake the same processes. Your build looks great and I like the fitment. Any regrets or things that you would change if you did it again? I have the turbos, wastegates and bov and the pipes are being fabricated currently.

What kind of fittings did you use to make the stock fuel rails work for your fuel system?

I ran the stock GTO wheels with M&H 275/50/17s on my old setup and never had any issues at the track. This was a 1.6x 60' .... granted I had a 4L80e so my gearing was a bit taller.

Prep at our local track isn't the best
It stuck good and blew them off around the 1/8 mile mark
I've never had good luck on 17 inch wheels
ive got 26x11.50 15 bias ply mts on now, they hook great, but the car wags its *** pretty bad now on the big end

Used them at the 1/8 mile no prep race and they worked good, just don't really like how they feel

I've seen a fair amount of local guys wreck with bias plys in the back and stock radials up front. I'd pick up a set of skinnies, they're pretty cheap used on CL and the forums. Car looks great, glad to see you've made some awesome progress.

Appreciate it man
Long way to go to get it running an et close to what it should, but it's getting there

Think I'm going to try mts new radial r
Supposed to be a lot like the pro, but offered in different sizes

I've driven on my fair share of slicks, Even with skinnys up front I dont like bias plys
Usually if you tell yourself to just keep the wheel pointed straight, it'll do its thing and go straight, but it's still too sketchy for me personally...lol

Great build, have you tried other torque converters?

Not yet...think I'm going to either have the one I have re stalled, or go with a little bigger one now that the trans has to come out
This one worked great with the maggie, it flashes to 2800, right where the blower started making peak torque, but I think it's a little small now.

I can foot brake it to 2600 or so, but it only builds a few lbs of boost there
If I could get it stalled high enough I'll reuse the circle d that I have, it's been a great converter and it's really efficient.

I haven't measured it
I have two extra 02 bungs I didn't end up using so I probably could fairly easily.

Can’t be too bad, you’re making good power! I’m just curious how high BP gets on those T3 housings. You could strap a mechanical push-to-reset tire gauge on one side for a quick cheap peak pressure reference. Worked great on my setup.
