A friend would never mention that first sentence in a post or in person or give it that much thought to type it out, but that's me. I give my help willingly to my friends and let them have parts I don't use anymore, no sweat off my *****.
But then again, I am under the car myself doing my own work. My buddy Neal will help out on occassion and my buddy Josh helps when he can, but they will never have a say on what goes on with MY car or MY money and vice versa. Its easy to say, "hey just sell the blower, get some high comp pistons and some high comp heads, with a N2O kit and you will be set"...when it isn't your car. It also sucks to hear that kind of crap after you spent so much $$/time on the current set up, some friend huh. Garage.. man you have it good. I have a slab of concrete outside
I don't know where you have been, but my ATI car ran consistent numbers all season last year mid 11's to be exact and the MPH was always consistent 115-117. That is awesome for a car at this altitude...did I mention it was driven everyday? Its the few that are pushing the envelope that are running into issues, but hey LS1 FI hasn't been around for too long. I've been doing it for a while now since PD released the first FI kit for the LS1. For about 7-8 months I have been wrestling with pulley problems but now they are looking to be fixed.....Us ATI LS1 F-body Guys..Me, Kyle, Bos, Heath, Black LS1 T/A and a few others are making it easy for the rest who follow in our footsteps. Those who are looking for big boost and big power from their ATI kits just have to come here and look up what needs to be done to achieve big boost and big numbers. But it takes someone to walk those first steps. We did the stock ATI thing and now we are doing the built LS1/6 ATI thing now, gotta remember there weren't a lot of people doing this type of set up last year.
I know and you know, Kyles power problem lies elsewhere...So keep it there, I will out of respect for my friend Kyle.
Kyle, No problem buddy I just want to help see you through your problems. I know I might not be able to turn a wrench on your ride, but you know you can ask me anything and I will help the best I can from a state away. Like my profile says...always willing to help.

Thanks Jer i know you understand were i am coming from and that i do want to make my ATI kit work...... I get really frustrated and ALL my friends know that very much so. TTLDLS1 is my buddy Tommy and i believe he is getting as frustrated as me...... not because my car is taking up his garage, but because of all the time and work we put into that thing and we were dissaponted. I know he believes that a Bottle would work really well on my car, but that would take alot of work............ I know i can get my kit to work....either i am having boost loss from somewhere, or its the bigger cubes eating it up. I will really know for sure after i know the answer to the OTHER thing and see what kind of boost BOS makes. I have no problem going to the 3.2" blower pulley........ It all just addes up and it takes its strain on everyone around you when these kits dont work right or work as you thought it should. I truly believe these kits were never designed to run over 7-9 psi. well enough of this man im not going to let this bring me down and im going to get off and probably wont read Tech anymore today........ its my B-day...

happy b-day dude. sorry about the problems you are having. we have all been there. i just had a couple of problems myself with a cylinder head, tranny slippage, flywheel bolts and all at one time. all you can do is just keep on hotrodding until you run out of money. then you start selling your furniture like a crack head to fund your hobby.
. dont worry dude you will get there but it will take more money and time. trust me i know. i already had a 10 second flat car that had lots of potential to go faster but i desided to do the LS1 thing. now i have a payment of $460 a month just for the car not including the parts i put in to it. and what do i end up with, a slower car that melts heads. sometimes i think i should of just kept running the BBC since it was cheaper but i am hard headed and am going to try an stick it out. let me know how the motor issue goes.
Tommy is a good guy, he means well. but you have to decide what YOU want. sure its easy to slap a bottle on a car and go fast, but its as easy to split the motor in half too. give it some time and things will come around.
ps..i really think you losing psi because of your less restrictice combo. i could be wrong. good luck

I've been there with whole converting over to nitrous thing......
This is the 2nd time its come up as a back up plan, I already know what I need to do for it to be done, and if the SD stuff doesn't work out for me, the procharger is getting sold, along w/all the goodies I have w/it, the heads on the car are going, and the cam...
We can keep the pistons in there.....
I talked to TEA's head guy and he can work something w/the head to get my motor up to 11:1 compression, I would either use Stage III LS6 heads or the Stage 2.5 Judsons....cam would be a 240/250 range.........FAST LSX intake with the 90mm stuff, and to top it all off a direct port.......
Its not that hard to do
Its a solid backup plan for sure, but I would rather have boost

I would never tell Kyle what to do with his car, all I do is offer suggestions to him toward getting to his goal, wich is a 9 second pass and I just think it is going to take a lot more to get there with his current setup is all. If he decides to stay with the blower I will be more than happy to help him get there in any way I can.
Oh and on a side note it wouldn't be that hard to do that with the bottle in my opinion. Kyle has just put so much into this car and hasn't come close to what he is wanting out of it and I would just like to see him get there is all.
Forcefed, when I say consistantly I am talking about low 10's like Kyle is wanting is all, I understand you are running at a disadvantage at that elevation and I wasn't knocking your car man I think you have a sweet ride I am just trying to help Kyle reach his goal. Yea your prolly right I do mention the bottle to Kyle often but it's prolly because that is all I have ever ran on my cars. Anyhow good luck with your car man hope it all works out for you.

Feels like I'm horning in on a private conversation with you guys. But I need some info. I got a 383 H/C strocker LS1 going into a FWD Grand Prix about August! "No, I don't want to hear it!" It'll be NA until next year (spring 2005). I'm pretty much convinced to use a P-1 SC, but I'm only going to about 6 psi because the FWD trans I've got can't handle over about 675 crank hp. What kind of things should I look out for with the Procharger and aftercooler? Any help or words of wisdom is greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck with your setup. I feel your pain of refining a combination.

Use a fromt mount intercooler and dont mess with the small ATI ones..... do everything right from the start...... The P1-SC can make alot of power......
