If you want an intank pump, the newer turbine style walbros are the way to go for performance VS cost. 1 will support as much power as that build could make on pump gas IMO.
Good luck build looks great!

I'd guess you could go pretty aggressive on the cam since you shouldn't have more than 1:1 back pressure on those twins. Guess you'll be RPM limited with the intake manifold thou.

Only going to push 10-12 lbs to start after good tune is done. Then just dial it out when we get our hands on a newer year one. We have a guy that has offered three more of these at reasonable prices since we started this build and he gets them quite often so it shouldn't be to sad when this one lights off like a rocket!

Oh yeah, that was the stock exhaust from the Denali LML when we put the 5" on. Funny that we had two of them on there and didn't even think to use them for exhaust. Kicking

So Jared from Brian Tooley Racing has done the specs for the cam, springs and pushrods so those will be getting ordered. We got side tracked and ordered EFI Live to start doing tuning on our diesels and wanted to ask for some opinions here. Which would some of you guys use to do the tuning EFI or HPT? What advantages (unbiased) does one have over the other? Thanks again for input and suggestions.

I've looked at MS for years and kinda cringe when I look through what is on the site. Have read so many things and wouldn't even know which direction to go. Cheaper? Each vehicle requires it's own MS box which run around 7-900 correct?

By the time you figure in HPtuners $650 initial cost plus credits for additional vehicles I think MS is alot cheaper and more user friendly. You do get stuck buying software (only have to buy it once and you can use it on multiple vehicles.) and a wire harness harness (around $60-80 depending on length) . Technically there is free software out there as well, it's just not as easy to use.
By the time your done its usually around $500 to micro squirt an LS. If you want to spend a little more, EFIsource.com makes some plug and play options. I run MS on both my cars. One is a micro one is an MS3. Tunerstudio software is very to use and has the autotune feature.

We have both EFI and HP so jumping and spending around $1000 more in box and wiring seems to not be on the table right now. I follow through the MS thread and do follow Denmah and see that it does appear easier to use and tuning looks pretty simple.

So looking at the Microsquirt I Don't see that it can control a electronic trans so that means it needs a seperate controller to control one correct or go old school TH400?

I missed that you already had both other programs. Def cheaper to go with what you have. I always used old school glide/th trans with my street/strip stuff. 4l80e is a big bastard! IMO you don't need OD with a turbo car since most run really tall gears.
To use the micro to control the trans you would need an additional micro box. One for the trans one for the engine. One box won't do both.

It looks like the http://www.efisource.com/shop/ls1-24...icrosquirt-v3/ is $390 which is not bad at all and may be an option. It comes with SLOPPY TURBO TUNE!!!! Currently using HPT on the Escalade with 2 bar and tuning has been somewhat of a challenge without a dyno but runs pretty good and I have gotten familiar with this program. EFI Live we just picked up and have already stroked a couple of times reading and trying to understand with it having quite a few more tables. Wanting to try it out on the Escalade but have not even gotten to the point of applying the custom OS to run 2bar. Not even sure if it can be applied to this controller. OH YEAH GOOD TIMES.

So ordered the cam, springs and pushrods from BTR on Tuesday and they arrived today. Super nice to deal with but wierd thing is that I paid $20 for custom cam specs and was expecting a BTR custom grind and when I open the box, well....
.
I found it strange that I paid them for a custom grind and they sell an off the shelf cam from Comp. Or is it you are paying them to say this is what would work best? Either way the $20 was applied to the purchase so I guess it doesn't matter. Still very happy with the purchase and the fast service they provided. Here are the specs from the box, hope this is a good one!!
