i think most people use the mac 3 port solenoid. most solenoids that come with EBC kits are rebranded mac units.

I'm not sure on the Gold box, but MS3-Pro Ultimate from DIY can also run boost by gear, mph, or time.

I can confirm that the Gold Box has no issues PWM controlling a MAC valve with all the same features, boost by gear, MPH, time, etc. They run about $40-50.
