A 76mm compressor wheel would be right in its efficiency range for your power needs, and spool fairly quickly since you're gonna be on a rear mount setup.

What rear gears are you running? My dad's got a '99 WS6 with an altered STS kit with twin 57's, T56 with stock 3.42's, and it doesn't really see any boost until 3rd gear. That was on 8 pounds of boost, forged 347, cam, untouched 243's and an LS6 intake. Made awesome power, just seems to be nothing but a number until it's up on the freeway.

Comp's website is very confusing, or else I'd find their turbo setup that would best suit your needs. A high 60's/low 70's exhaust wheel will be more than enough and help spool quickly as well.

Each company's product is unique, and nobody knows it better than the manufacturer themselves. If you want to go with a Comp turbo, your best bet is to call them directly and get a recommendation.

If you are dead set on a Comp oiless the only ones I see are the CT43x series. if I had to pick one it would be between these. As long as you build it proper it will make boost quick. Being a T56 it may be a bit laggy but you shouldnt run into high rpm back pressure issues.

My buddies 370 ran pretty hard and spooled instantly with a turbonetics 7868 (68mm turbine) . Now that its up front he has some major back pressure issues. A larger wheel would help that for sure.

I recall seeing a thread on here not long ago , a guy warning others not to bother with the oiless turbos. as he had reliability issues and short life between rebuilds.

Yeah it wasn't to long ago. I saw that thread too. the gentleman said the turbos had to be regreased every 10000 miles. 300 bucks a pop to do his two turbos. He said the newer ones you could grease your self but the special grease was pretty expensive too. Didn't really sound like it was worth it plus I was quoted 3500 bucks for and 80/92 a few weeks ago frpm comp And that was journal bearing oiled turbo nothing special. I was a little taken back to say the least.
