9.0 at 163 on true radials(not drag radials)
Haven't been on the true radials for any passes in 2 years, decided to toss them on my fox this weekend for some test hits for an class next weekend. First pass the car went 10.0 at 154, got 9 more passes in between Friday night and Saturday, all 9 were in the 9's with the best being 9.0 at 163mph. With some more hits I'm sure it'll go 8's on the 275/60/15 pep boys futura M&S tire.
Twin 78mm 408(just put in new motor), powerglide, 3.55 gears, 3480lb. More info on the car on my page, www.facebook.com/skinniesTTfox

Off the shelf, I do zero prepping to them.
yes they are mud and snow rated tires, 440 tread rating so not super soft either.
It's not scary at all, the power is all in by 100mph and the car won't spin above that on the street tires. My 4 door ltd at 4000+ lbs runs low 10's on true radials also, again it never spins up top, it has even been 1.54 60ft on true radials. You have to have the suspension setup right and be good at power management to do this correctly and be safe, it's not like I'm going out there without knowing what I'm doing.
It is very well sorted out for the limited traction type of racing we do(street racing on asphalt, this true radial, plus no prep). This pass was 100% dead hooked the entire way.

I weighed my 86 LTD at the track the other weekend, and it was 3585 w/ me in it. It has full 4" exhaust (with muffler), a/c, heat, p.s., sway bars, full interior, 17" steel wheels, etc. You must have everything in your car lol.

Aren't those tires rated for about 109 MPH top speed or something? Lol
Truly amazing that you can hook up M&S tires like this!!! I take it that in addition to having your suspension setup really well, you probably also have a lot of ballast in the rear end?

Got to see some of the runs in person this weekend. Sounds like its on a throttle stop until 150ft or so... then engine pitch/sound changes completely and it just takes off! Pretty cool to watch, great runs!

9.0's on a 1.61 60'....sick.
1.61 60' on junk tires...maybe a little sicker

I was real soft on the down low tuneup, I think it can take a lot more on the hit, just need more passes.
