5.3 Turbo Build Help Needed!!!! Hi, newbie here in desperate need of some help. This is what I have so far
5.3 vortex out of a 05 Tahoe
243 heads that have been shaved and pressure checked
Ls6 intake with 92ml throttle body
And that's about it. I want to build a mean street machine that can handle a big turbo but can run off pump gas. Something that I can drive out of town maybe 300 mile round trips. I would like to run twin turbos with an anti lag system but if that's out of the question then I'll stick to 1. My budget is currently 3500 dollars but it will soon increase by maybe a thousand. I work and pretty much can do whatever I want with my check being that I have no real bills. So someone please point me in the right direction. Oh and no I don't want to upgrade to a 6.0 I already have a 5.3 so that's what I'm sticking with.

I just need someone to give me a blueprint of what I need from cam size to rocker and valve spring size. Which msd box should I use? I want to. Bore the block 30 and use dished pistons for spray. Which nitrous kit should I use? Keep in mind that I'm working with 3500 at the moment. Thanks!

Also, for cam, there are several excellent sources for info here. Just of the top of my head, Martin @ Tick performance, Pat G, Cam Motion will all get you excellent results.

EPS makes nice cams for turbo builds, give them a call they are always ready to answer an questions you may have just let them know what your running and the results your looking for. Hope this helps..
