Boost Leash controller owners, step inside....
To my knowledge there is no "switch" in the clutch system of the 4th gen F-body, meaning I would need to install a micro switch in the clutch to be able to use the Boost Leash controller to get the offered "boost by gear".
I have seen these switch's but not sure how I would go about mounting it or if it would work. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/no...FQuNaQodQHEAJQ
Any thoughts?
What is everyone else using to make it work?
youve seen this, right? There is a neutral safety switch you can tie into

But it should be quite easy to add a microswitch to the pedal to give you a signal every time you press the pedal to the floor for their increasing boost stages.
Given that a 1 second pedal depression ( ie switch activation ) resets the unit, you would want any switch pretty near the full pedal travel, so you dont accidently reset to boost stage 1.

There are true boost by gear or even better, MPH controllers available. Usually these are in the $1000 + price range thought. The eBoost2 and the Boost Leash can offer a tricked system to run it in a fashion that will kind of work in boost by gear for about half the price. If you can do the micro switches in all the gears, the eBoost2 will do a full actual boost by gear. Seems like the boost leash is easier with only one switch needed.

If all you do is drag racing, then the clutch method would work fine.
But anything other than that all I can see is compromises

The Plex unit seems very good. I looked at that in detail and spoke with them. The biggest thing against it is that I have found NO one in a boosted LTX or LSX f-body that has ever used one. It seems like it would be fine, but it is very nice having at least SOME experience in using it in a similar car.

Depending what the controller wants to see (12v or ground) you could use a relay inline with the switch to give it what it wants. This is the controller I plan on using, I already have a 2step/no lift shift wired through the switch so this should be really easy to incorporate once I'm ready for it.
It doesnt really know what gear you are in if you start down shifting and what not. It just counts every clutch depression until it reaches 6th gear, then it stays there until you hold the clutch for 1sec, going to back to gear 1. It will work great for the track and even for a highway car, it would pretty easy to manage if you can put it somewhere you can see the screen.
