Knock sensors
Curious if you guys are using knock sensors with turbos
I had them turned off with the Procharger as I thought it
was setting them off, but didn't know if the turbo made any diff or not-right now I have them off, but the motor has some valve noise, or piston slap, so
I fig that might affect it

I'm curious about this too. I figured with the solid mounts and 12 point cage there would be too many vibrations to run the sensors. Can the Holley system tell if there is detonation without these sensors?

I haven't gotten to this point yet to ask the question myself. But I figured that you do not need them. If you are setting your tune up manually then you aren't worried about your timing since you want it to be where you set it. Knocks will only retard it for you, which you don't want if your racing.

Assuming the levels of noise seen, and hence thresholds for knock are adjustable, then there is really no reason to ignore them.
Tune them properly and they will be a good safety backup.
And likewise, tuned properly they should never be needed or being used for any control in the first place, other than for a **** up scenario.
