Default Info

I currently have the STS kit and I am having a 370 at 9 to 1 built. I am hoping for around 650 to 700 to the wheels when I am done.

What injector size should I run. I was running 42's before do I need to go bigger?

Will just a booster fuel pump work or should I do an in the tank Walbro?

Will the stock MAF work?

What about plug gap I know some people have been having issues with it blowing out the spark at high boost?

Thanks for the info,

Kane

A: What size turbo are you putting on it?

If you wanna try to keep duty cycle below 85% then you will need a 55-67psi injector I would think.

Will just a booster fuel pump work or should I do an in the tank Walbro?

At that power level you will want to do a full fuel system. Intank pump for sure. Someone can chime in about lines and rails. Not sure what they can handle stock.

Will the stock MAF work?

No clue where our cutoff point is.

What about plug gap I know some people have been having issues with it blowing out the spark at high boost?

Run a .035 gap and you should be fine. With tons of boost some of the Mustang guys will go as low as .027.

What size turbo again? Has anyone evn seen that much with one of those kits.... More specs on the Motor.......

What injector size should I run. I was running 42's before do I need to go
bigger?

For that much power i would run at least 60# injectors....

Will just a booster fuel pump work or should I do an in the tank Walbro?

I wouldnt even mess with one walbro fuel pump....... wont cut it in my opinion and if you run two of them with a Hob's switch then you will never know if only one is working until you really need it... under WOT then its to late...... Go a big external pump, braided line, reg. bigger fuel rails..... its expensive....... i sumped my stock tank (98 so its metal) and i still spent $1600 on my fuel system alone.......

Will the stock MAF work?

Not sure...

What about plug gap I know some people have been having issues with it blowing out the spark at high boost?

I run TR6's now gaped at .035 an di am thinking about running a colder plug.....

Dual intanks, 57#+ injectors, depends on MAF type and tuning, .35 on TR6's.

I didnt know STS was putting that kind of power out now. Im assuming this is with the meth/water setup since they dont offer an air/air i/c setup yet. As far as the maf goes, sure it will work but after you max it out at X amount flow you will then have to compensate for that when it does max out.

I have the GT67 with the 81 housing. I do have the methanol kit also.

Are the LS1 injectors high or low impedence? Do I have to do anything special to go to a 57+ injector? Does anyone know about the what the fuel rails can handle?

Should I go to a better MAF does anyone recommend one?

if i were you id reconsider your set up, sounds like things are poorly planed, and your missing a bunch of info.

i really doubt that the STS can get over 550rwhp, maybe it can though.
the T67 will not be able to support that much HP either, especially with the .81 AR. youll have to step up to a T76.

your going to have to tune your computer. 57 lb injectors would work, should have 2 walbros or a big external with sumped tank, braided lines a fuel rails.

I actually was getting over 500hp on my Stock LS1 with T60 on the 81 housing at 9psi with 50/50 methanol. If I can get up over 600RWHP I would be pretty happy. I am hoping to run about 13psi-15psi with my methanol.

I currently own HP Tunner so we are getting pretty good at tunning.

So the 57 lbs will work without any adapters or anything? How much are you selling them for?

Would it be wise for me to just go with a larger fuel rail from the begining? Any clue on how much for a larger fuel rail?

you will just need to retune for your 57's other then that the will plug right in since there high impedance.

with your power goals id be up front about the fuel system. Ls1speed and nasty performance sells FR on there sights.
