is this spark blowout?
i am all the way down to 5500rpm for my shifts and it is floating at 5200, wont even get to 5500 in 2nd anymore. it pulls like mad up to 4500 or so.
i broke a valve spring awhile back and only swaped the one, i figured the entire bunch was going bad and just now finialy got a good set in there(patriot golds). i still have the same problem.
is this what spark blow out would feel like? the plugs only have 1000miles or so on them and were gaped at .034 or so(whatever they come out of the box) tr6's. i am pushing it prety hard sometimes, as much as 14psi and a 100shot.
i am puting in a new set of tr6's tomorrow and hope it fixes the problem, what should they be gaped at?
puting the wideband back in there to make sure my fueling is still on will be my next step after i try plugs. i drove around for a week though with it hooked up and it always looked good.
the gap had opened up to about .037, i gaped the new ones to .030, lets see how long this lasts.
the plugs look real funny, red, kinda baked looking. i will post up some pic's tomorrow but right now i got to go check out the power tour

my fuel is red too so maybe the red is nothing but the baked look seems wrong. pic's later then you guys can tell me
Not exact science but even on the street its richer when its hot, could be because my MAF is blow through and its getting a big change because of the much hotter IAT. Seems it should be the opposite but who knows
I have the MAF tweaked so it works the whole range, I dont think it was rich enough to hurt you but a combination of that and wide plug gaps could hurt. Trending Topics
