Default 13 lbs of boost is missing is part of the problem!

Well i went to the Track again tonite, and Rob Raymer met me there to look at whats wrong with my car he got the fast working on my laptop and it was off the chart it was so rich. He made 2 passes in it and its is only makeing
7 lbs of boost. So im missing 13 more somewhere. Im gonna put a pressure test on the pipes tommorow and if they hold I gotta check out pulley size. If they are good only thing left is the Blower head unit its self. The fastest passed it make off the T-brake was 1.92 8.02 90mph and 12.2 at 114. So its down on a ton of power and ET. Before these changes it went 1.49 6.40s at 107 as the previous owner told me. So theres a start. Big props to Rob and Anthony for helping me out.

Are you trying to get 20psi then? (7 missing 13?)
which turbo do you have? the T60? If so you definatly need a bigger turbo.

or are you talking about your 01 ws6? (is that scotts old car?)

Sounds like you are making good progress.

john its 8.5 crank and 4.15 blower,

I told justin the car just needs to get tuned. the front mount and all the piping are new. I wish he would have had it tuned before going to the track......

na, remember John the F1 has a 5:1 step up so that combo puts an F1 at 66500 @ 6500rpm, that a lot of air..

I dunno, but with an F1 almost maxed out I think he should be hitting a hell of a lot more then 7

An F1 should probably max out at around 26psi give or take a couple psi on a motor like that. Should put it very close to 20psi at the speed he's spinning it.

If he's only seeing 7psi something is leaking boost whether it be the headunit itself of just some piping.

lol, I had a coupler blow off my intercooler and had a good 1" open gap around 1/2 the coupler.. I still got a solid 5psi from my usual 12 or so.

So to loose 13psi means a giant leak somewhere. Should be awfully easy to find IMO.

PSJ, I made 15 psi with same pulley set up and a 5 psi drop in the innercoolers. This should make atleast 18 psi with the new innercooler plus more efficiant piping. I would start looking at the BOV maybe or the vacuum line to the BOV.

Rob was gonna tune on it last nite. He made some logging runs in the car. He said its was off the chart it was so fat. I had to work late tonite so i didnt get a change to pressure test the pipeing and the intercooler. But tommorow i'll take it loose from the blower outlet and right at the tb and put 10lbs of air on it and wait and see if it leaks down. We checked the Bov last nite and we tightened the screw down to close the vavle off to see if that was leaking off. It didnt help, Im gonna block it off all togther and see if thats the problem. If all checks out good Its the blower that need to be checked. Thats all i can think of unless theres a problem with the intake. So guess ill see tommorow. Im just ready to run 9's on a 346. Then drop my stroker in and make some heads turn. Hopefully. If all go's well with the car it will be at N vs S.
