Default S475 question.

New to the boost. Gonna be building a SBE 5.3, with a S475 and was wondering what would be a good bov and waste gate setup? Thanks in advance!

Can't go wrong with TiAL, Precision or Turbosmart products. 50MM bov and a 60MM gate.

i'm in the middle of a s475 4.8 build and have decided to do 2 38mm xspower gates from huron speed.

I would spend the extra bucks and buy a name brand wastegate. One of the parts I wouldn't cheap out on. Just my opinion though.

I opted for JGS. Reliable parts and great customer service. LJMS on here sells them.

I'll be going with TiAL's when I get ready. But I've been looking at the Turbonetics 78mm "Benita" turbo here lately. I think it would do what I'm after and not take up as much room. I'm packing all this in a 98 2wd 4 door Jimmy.

I would agree with going with a Tial. Not a place I would go cheap.

i could be three 4.8's in before i get to the price of a tial. I'll take my chances, if it sticks i'll just write a huge thread about how i got screwed over by huron speed, jk.

If this was an all out forged 6.0 or lsx block, I'd be doing a name brand.... but 4.8 and 5.3 is junkyard build stuff, if I could use a thermostat as a wastegate i would.
