Default 5.3 Nova Best to date

Waited all year for our 2nd annual track rental at Woodburn drag strip here in Oregon.
I just can't get my car down our local track at 14 psi, forget anything higher.

damn ron you have that car figured out.

how about a combo up date. did you ever change that gear?

turned mine up a little last week and couldn't get it down the track spinning about 2 0r 300 feet out. it might be my old stock posi thou. time for a spool and some mickey pro 275s.

I know your on e85 and im thinking of swaping over . I hear it is coming to a station here in town.. I need more fuel pump for that.

good to hear it is running good. good running car. congrats.

On the pump injector front, I'm out of everything. Duty cycle was 110%. I'm at 60psi base pressure.
But AFR was spot on at 11.3:1 for the whole run.
I have 3.42 gears now and a spool.
The PTC converter is absolutely doing its job. Crossing at 6500. Shifts at 6900.....
Actually bumped the rev limiter on that pass.....cost some ET for sure. It shook the tires pretty hard.

My gears are now toast. It howled so bad on the hour drive home my ears were ringing!
I'll have to try something different when I set up the next set.

Awesome results Ron! I thought you said you had no intention of ever running 8's? Looks like you aren't far off now.

A bigger pump and injector, some 3.08 gears and let it eat!

Wow! Great job. How many psi did you leave on? 11-12 degrees timing at 18 psi?

I'm making 7 psi on the two step.
Just a foot brake car.
I'm at 16 degrees timing on E85.

If the car is spinning once you're out, loosen up the rear shock extension.

A glide would be interesting though.

Thats pretty good! My friend has 5.3 S480 in a 3rd gen with glide on E85 and went 5.98@120mph the other day. He didnt have a very good 60 either, I think both of you could pick up atleast a tench or two in the 60.

Even after you find a tenth, there is always a tenth!
I noted in the FB video that because the two step is tied to the brake lights, the car moves before the two step comes off. There is ET there.

Pump is the hated Holley 12-1800 (mine has been flawless) and injectors are ID1000's.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
