IAT's are about 70* at the end of a pass. I don't put a ton a faith in these numbers as the meth is spraying pre-iat.

All of these runs were on a mix of 93 and 110 to average around 100 octane and a just a single nozzle meth kit with 100% meth.

Pushed the gen3 4.8 a little farther yesterday. Ran a best of a 8.66@157 at 26psi on only 1.31 60'.

also found the limits of the 4.8 as i hot lapped the 8.60 pass and tossed a rod. This setup has been together for 4+ years and been going 8.70's for 3 of those.
Plan to come back next year with a gen4 4.8 and see how far we can push that.

What were IATs during hot lap as compared to previous run? Do you mind sharing timing pull vs IAT temp? BTW - Thanks for entertaining all the questions.

Did you go "all in" right off the brake? Or bring higher boost levels in above peak torque? I managed to bend a gen 4 4.8 rod at 25lbs at lowish RPM on a similar setup is why I ask. Could have been a number of other things I'm sure, but the plugs and logs looked great.

ive got the same setup (same turbo, gen 4 4.8) in a 97 cobra, made 800rw at 26 psi. I'm a bit heavier but I'd love to run 8's in it hehe.

I have no ramp rate. Just as quick as it will make it.

This should be a testament to how good tuning can make SBE last. That is awesome how long this lasted. Great job with the car man, can't wait to see what it does with the Gen4 motor.

The new bullet slowly going together. It’s a gen4 5.3 block, half filled, stock crank, scat rods, wiseco pistons. Heads are ported, bigger cam and moving to a 80+mm Borg or possibly gt55 based turbo.

Not messing around next year! Can't wait to see it run Curt.

Are you still going to drive it to the track with the half filled block, and by half filled do you mean to the water pump holes? Asking because I was thinking of doing the same thing but wasn't sure how much it effects cooling.

Half filled means halfway to the water pump holes.
