Question Double pinning....Procharger DI

I tried emailing Bob at the Brute speed site, but wont go thru. Years ago i bought a D1 Procharger kit for my trans am from him at EPP. Well long story short i blew that engine..wanted too much boost..lol. So now i have a fully forged 370 and will eventually buy the Aster bracket. what i am facing now is pinning the crank. i have a double roller timing chain and it seems with the pinning kit,(somehow i held onto that though the years) i can only get on about only a 1/4 (even with cover off)from the snout. is this ok? i do plan to double pin it. do you suggest pinning both angles? i see Brute speed supplys a pin kit that pins in the very front of the snout too. and also can i use my original stoke ATI damper ETC from the original kit for the Aster upgrade. i plan on running 14-16 psi..hopefully..thanks!

Does your crank have a key machined in to it ? One key or pin should be fine for a D1.

There is just the key for the oil pump. No pin has been installed yet.

Procharger orig used the front pinning kit, ATI kit used one that pinned in the side
I used the ATI kit on a balancer with the keyway, worked ok, but the balancer kind of dug into the keyway after a lot of boost, made it hard to remove

So...should I use both? Is the .25" far enough back on the crank for the pin? Thanks again

I did do a search a found where a couple guys posted if they could put 2 pins on the side of the crank, side by side inline with eachother( not 180 degrees out) with no replys. I would like to know this...

As I remember there were 2 pinning kits, and maybe that's why it isn't on far
I will see if I can dig up my info

Got you. My forged crank has a key way machined in it for the ATI crank pulley, that's why I asked. I guess if your going to have to pin it you might as well just do a double.

Oh..I do have another question. As far as getting the aster bracket and using the ati damper from the original kit you sold me, what size pulley do you recommend for max boost? I am at around 5000 ft in elevation and trying to get as much boost as I can out of the D1. Hoping for 16psi...thanks again!
