Damn didn't even see this post til now.
Kinda trippy to see that big ol gap on it huh. Glad to see you didn't have any issues with the crank pulley.

Looks like we will both be getting the 3.4 tomorrow. I am going to see if my belt fits(53-1/8 PN 25-080525) Did SDCE send you a different belt?

I just hope you don't run into spacing issues with your custom standoffs.

Can the Napa near you even order you the belt? See if they can and if the warehouse delivers on Sat.

for the 3.4 pulley the belt should be a 51.5"
at least thats what I use. 52 would be perfect but aparently don't exist. 52.5" bottoms out the tensioner.
I don't see how the heck you could ever use a 53 unless your setup has a smaller crankpulley ?????

Is a 53 too big

yes you would have a heck of a time but it does go on.

well I can tell you I thought I needed a 52.5 and when i slapped that on my tensioner has to move all the way over to the stop and there is barely any tension.

53 1/8th from my experience will be HUGE.

but they should know better than I do so take my info for what its worth.

Damn I thought your set up would be complete. I was out all day wrestling on a new exhaust. 45 min job turned out to be a 6 hour job because we had to track SS Exhaust band clamps down all over Albuquerque

I was hoping you had the 3.4 on with the 53 -1/8 so I could see if it fit. I think I will wait on putting mine on until I get the belt Heath is using. I trust his info more. I just think the 53 will be too big.

Looks like I will be spraying it tonight.

with the 3.4 if you can track down a 52" I think thats the perfect belt. SD says that doesn't exist but that seems weird to me. Just haven't researched it myself yet.

51.5 will go on but it's tight.

Did you try a smaller idler than a 90mm. I would go down to a 60-70mm I am sure there are some of those. When I use to work at NAPA the whole A/C catalog was filled with different sized idlers.
Just a thought, that would make the 51 fit perfect. I can see the 52 not existing, look at all the problems finding a cog belt that was the right length.

From all the info Scott has gathered based on what everyone has told him so far, when your standing in front of the car, the tensioner is installed at the begininning of it's "throw" all the way to the left, correct? nastyta, forcefed, blackbird? Anyone??
If Scott is understanding correctly based on all your feedback, there is still about 1-2" of travel to work with to fit a better suited belt. Unfortunately there are limited belt choices...feedback please so we can understand and help...pictures are worth a thousand words...

Check around on the internet because some places have different size belts other than the industry normal sizes. This company is making me a couple cog belts that are between the 960-1040 industry sizes for $27 each. http://www.polytechdesign.com/index.php
