This thread is proof positive that is 100% not correct. You will get what the shop decides to up-charge you for the same crap.

Is it so hard to believe? Haha haters. Seen compstar i beams bend at 1230-'s whp. However, My compstar H beams are so far so good at 1200-ish whp. Buddy runs 7's on k1 stuff.
Guys run 1000 on stock rods. Look at stock48. I have 'heard' 1700 whp bending a compstar H on one lsx build but hard to say how true as i havent seen it

If you have the money go callies ultra or equivalent for big power. 1000 and under, lower rpms, callies compstar is hard to beat. Manley may work as well at similar price. No idea on tsp stuff but hope its not the same quality as some of the old prc head castings. Seen some of that quality being poor and cracking/breaking. Hope its manufactured by a good overseas place in same manner compstar is. Compstar is finished machine in the usa and hopefully pass a stringent quality control process. Hope all overseas parts would

Manley is top notch stuff. Always has been.
Three different varieties. You can even get them for the stock pin size.
Don't see any for $450 though.

My buddies builder used the Molnar rods. If anyone can blow them up, he will. I'm the tuner, but when I'm not looking, he turns the boost up full blast.

I trusted LJMS and have the Compstar/Weisco setup to install. I'm confident they are good parts.

Ever notice that whatever parts you ask about here, or on any internet forum, someone will say "they are crap"?

Sorry for your experience but one instance does not mean the entire brand is bad. Newsflash...every manufacturer has had a major part failure or a blem product at some point. There are so many things that could have happened with that crank i cant comment on. I dont know what the history was in that application that caused failure, or even if it was a real callies crankand not a knockoff fake. It has happened to other products

Doesnt change the fact the compstar line is no different than any of the other china blanks.

They are not a "premium" over the others. Fact

And advising them on a 1800hp build in a small block is retarded

I would agree, i wouldnt recommed these for 1800 hp. But thats not what the op asked for. He hasnt said anything. Sounds like hes doing a stock crank deal. So not looking for much over 1000 if that. Likely alot less

I´m thinking of 1000 or so for that setup using stock crank. I saw this happen to Eagle crank here in Iceland so it happens to other brands to !
