nice!! im wrapping up my 70 chevelle swap as we speak ( LQ4,GT45,3.31,12 bolt,th400,3000 stall.microsquirt) a few more wire and misc BS stuff and she will be fired up,cant wait to see more of your lark as this build progresses , good luck and good work my friend!

I think from the firewall forward dims. on A bodies were diff, on my 68-72 chevelles they fit better with oil pan clearance than my 65 Buick does-the tie rods hit further back on the pan in the Buick with about the same firewall clearance-I might notch my pan a while the engine is apart

Yes, you are correct. 64-67 A-body is a "thinner" frame and body. Is your 65 still in progress?

I actually drove it all last year, just tore it apart to bore out the 6.0 since I was seeing smoke a lot, figured the rings were giving up since I honed the **** out of it due to rusty cyls, lol-found some other stuff on teardown, and building a diff turbo 400 for it
I def need to run an oil sep., the vac or boost was pulling oil into vac line

Nice! First turbo car? Stock ecu?
I'm going to order the on3 76/75 when I get home. I decided on it, we'll because it's cheaper than the 78! Haha that's the idea here anyways. For starters it will be the 76, officially. Hopefully I can get all turbo drain and feed done for under the price of getting the 78 alone. It should still be a monster

First time turbo, I had a string of Procharged cars, blow thru carbs sure were simple-using the Holley HP, wasn't as easy as I though on my first FI car, but this one I had an easier time having gone thru it once
I kind of miss the supercharger for the street, but this is fun-I am raising the comp a little for the street, installing 2.75 gears in the trans, fig I can run a little tighter conv. so it wont slip as much at cruise

Nice! That sounds awesome. I'm sure you will get it going again, terrorizing the streets!
Checking hood clearance, I think it'll fit. Even if i have to cut some bracing out. I'd much rather use the truck intake for this build.
Mock up. Deciding on routing and such. I want to swap to a manual steering box, and low style alt mount possibly. We shall see.

Ill spend the money on other stuff, like getting towed by my friends when I grenade this turd trying to race the bald dude in a Ferrari from fast in the furious one

Injectors in, and wired up
Kind of went 3 steps forward 1 step back. Pulled the motor back out to do a couple things. I switched flex plates, to a 6.0 flat style with a spacer. Pulled the oil pan off and put a new gm gasket my buddy picked up for real cheap. The pan was leaking and I had to re-drill and tap the drain. So all in all it was some good progress, I was anticipating having to pull it out so no biggie. Got all my fuel parts, but I don't have any pics, will take some this week as I crank out on it.

I was bored waiting for my engine parts to come back from the machine shop, and never liked the BRP mounts I was using, so I pulled them and installed the BB frame mounts and Dirty Dingo adapters-I have a spare block so I can trial fit it, it will drop the engine 1/2", prob make the tie rod ends hit worse-looked at the Holley pan, def more clearance, but $330!!!
and will have to relocate my drain-if possible I will cut this pan, make clearance if there's room around the pickup tube-part of me said leave it alone, it fit b4, lol-oh well, that's what winter is for.

Yes kind of! haha I just relocated it back about 2 inches or so. It is behind the crossmember and before the starter. I will get some pictures up soon. I jammed a brass plug in the other hole with a shitpile of thread paste, and then grinded it flush from the inside. It is way better.
Nice! I really like where the UMI mounts put the motor, and it allows me to use the F-body pan I got mega cheap. I got pretty lucky how that all worked out really. I hope you find a cheap and easy solution for your set up!

Sorry for the delayed update, been jamming out, just figurin out the build and doing as much as I can. I got a shot pile of parts ordered. I literally think all I could need besides minor things would be a good converter. Also I'm going to steal the drives haft from my GTO so that's another thing I could buy in theory. I probably won't for a little while though. Here are a few super quick pictures, I was trying to jam out today on my day off
Decided to go manual power steering, going to use the stock bracket though because budget
Totally not mounted at all. Fawk haha cool part is that little access panel just fell off, so ill use that to run the fuel line hahaha I love this car
Keeping brain-f*cking to a minimum here, or trying to. Called AEM and dude was like yeah man you can jam it in the *** of the pump thats how we do it with the filter we suggest so go for it. Well see! I put chaff tape around the pump so i can clamp it and bolt it to the frame. The clamps I got were a wee bit too big so I will grab some tomorrow to mount it
I ran parker push lock 3/8 for feed line, and 5/16 aluminum line for a return with a section of parker from the rails to the aluminum for ease of pulling the motor.. because I plan to do that a lot. Haha hopefully not though. Going to try and fire this pig this weekend! Got that new laptop up at the top for 20$ from a buddy. I wanted a dedicated laptop for tuning, and wanted a pc instead of a mac

Lookin good. Not sure if pump noise is a major concern on this build, but hose clamped (even with the tape) will be loud. If you want it quiet these little cheapie rubber isolators work wonders.
Cut my pump noise WAY down compared to wrapping alone.

Nice! I'll have to try them, my other car the pump is hard mounted to the frame. It's not horrible because the motor pretty much shuts up the pump haha. This one I'd like a little more quiet.

One if my best buddies had some diesel exhaust laying around, even what looks to be a diesel Flowmaster! Anyone used one if theese? If not I will be haha free free free... except the things I had to do to get them.....
