How do you guys think a 5.3 will spool a t6 s480 with race cover? I'm currently running a comp 7879 t4 but tossing around the idea of changing up my set up.

I can tell you with a t6 twin scroll, s475 75/86 it lights off instantly even being a 1.32ar. I do have an auto with a 3500 stall so I'm sure that helps.

 

Nice ya my car is a 4l80 with a 3500 stall also but I've noticed coming up on the trans brake it's kinda slow gettin in boost with my current turbo.

 

Been debating the same turbo on my 5.3L I talked with lil john before and he said with the correct spec'd came it shouldnt be an issue iirc. im debating the 1.10ar s480 on mine eventually. Debated twins but a giant single looks so good

With the combination put together correctly it shouldn't have much if any issue.

Cam, converter and tune are very important to getting a smaller motor up on boost with a larger turbo.

 

It's also worth mentioning I have one of martins cams.

 

I'd love to hear the specs on everything & what "kinda slow means". It's a pretty subjective term.
