Get a hold of an ls6 intake if you want to get away cheap. There seems to be a negligible difference between that and the much higher dollar ones for the money with boost.

Unless your upgrading to say a fast intake or something like that then stick with the LQ4 intake. especially if it has the 90mm throttle body. You won't find any gains by swaping in an LS1 or an LS6 intake. I have built a lot of 5.3's for other people and the truck intake makes the same power and in some cases more power then the LS6. Now that I am finally building one for myself I will be using the truck intake until I get my magnuson blower. Do what I did and save your money for something that will get you some good return your money like a good tsp cam package.

Buying a car intake will be the most economical. No need to buy hood, prep or paint it.
No lq4/lq9 came w 90mm throttle body. They all came with 78mm 3bolt throttle bodies. From the factory.

Can find a ls1/ls6/ls2 car intake. The ls1/ls2 and even a ls6 intake would still b cheaper thn a new hood.

Stock48 has run low 8's on a truck intake, so they work
If you don't want to cut the hood, LS1 or LS6 intake
LS6 intakes used to be a good value, then folks thought they were made of gold
The LS1's are prob still a good value, if boosted prob not as much diff as opposed to an LS6

LS6 intakes are as expensive as some of the used aftermarket intakes and perform similar to a truck intake with a little less low-end torque.

If you have $400 to spend on a complete ls6 intake, you might as well look for a used BBK or similar setup.

I dont think a turbo cares what factory intake you use.

I see them all the time in the bone yard with an ls3 ls2 or an ls7 throttle body swap with harness adaptor.. Its a pretty common swap on the 5.3 and 6.0L's. I have few kickin around and will most likely use one on my sonoma build.
