NEW! Holley Sniper LS Intake manifold! Anyone try it yet?
Sheet metal intakes are a boost lovers dream. Considering Holley has fairly well crafted products this is the answer to rid all of the shitty ebay intakes we have all seen crack.
Has anyone tried or had this in their hands? How does the quality of the manifold seem?
EDELBROCK PRO FLO VS HOLLEY SNIPER is what I want to see.
I was dead set on the pro flo and after the 2015 Sema release of these intakes I am very curious as to any pros and cons.
I know the edelbrock is said to make more down low tq and also carry power higher into the rpm band. Anyone?
Thanks!

Any pics inside ?
Unless you intend to run mostly above 6500-7000rpm...really cant see much point in these intakes
Which lets face it, very few people do, most are happy with a headline of 7k nevermind a starting point.

I am pretty sure Holley manufactures in China and I'm OK with that but if this is the same as the Symbol Luxury Performance intake then this would make me question Holley. I hope it's not the same one but it sure looks like it.

I just feel like Holley Hi ram's have been a pretty solid intake for the money. I just dont see holley putting their name on something so shitty ... but it is buisiness and I understand that it is what it is. I was just wondering if anyone has used it or any shops have first hand compared. Im not one to assume but there are so many different companies making these type of manifolds. I would really hope they are not sellng crap. They would lose a lot of customers. The shop I work at alone have bought over 10 of their high ram mani's for ls alone.

Obviously they're Chinese, but if they're attaching their name, surely they're doing the quality checks.
And it seems to say the price includes fuel rails.
Really, it sounds like excellent value even if it wont actually help most peoples performance.

That is a good point. Their 2 bolt rails are very nice quality. Thats a red flag for me lol.

In this test below 5500rpm it was worse then the stock LS1 intake, although once above 6500rpm it started to show promise, even still climing at 7k

Visually it definitely is the same intake.

There is little doubt it will perform in the upper ranges but fit and long term durability are key. I cannot find it now but there is a video of the SLP intake and the entire top puckers up and down with the throttle opening. I am also not a fan of the NPT fuel rail threads assuming they come with that style.

For sure. I have seen that test and it is very comparable to the symbol performance. In which symbol performance specifically states that they are made in the usa. I know of the scam claims and all with the guy that owned symbol. It is unfortunate people have to do such things but whatever.
Im curious to see some graphs on boost in comparison with the sniper.
I have a friend with one on a trailblazer ss and that in fact is decent quality. He is making around 800whp on e85 with an s480 and the plenum does not flex.

Wow, holley is really reaching here... Its not the same intake as the plenum design tapers vs the other chinese one being flat on top. However I can tell you now that they come from the same place... Ive bought weld yourself intakes from the same china supplier. LOL

ECU is probably made in China too.
No issue with that as long as quality controls are in place. If everything was made in the US, prices would be much higher and far fewer people would be buying the stuff.
