up to date now. toight I finished mocking up my steering so all that is left to do is mount drops when they arrive. Column is a roadster style custom length from flaming river. I also started on the waste gate placement( pair of precision 46mms) got them centered and leveled at the same angle off front. Hopefully I'll get them welded up this weekend.

Great build! If you do run e85 you should step up to the new pumps that flow 20% more than the current 450's. I believe Walbro makes them

When I ordered the pumps they told me that these were the e85 compatable high flow pumps, I hope so, thanks for the info I appreciate it. This morning I got the waste gates positioned and tacked up. I'll try to weld them up after supper

Radiator is going in the truck bed, I believe he's going to use a remote mount electric Mezier 55gph pump. Truck bed aerodynamics and cooling presents and interesting situation.
A couple big fans might do the trick but I agree that in the bed it absolutely needs active cooling, probably full time.

I wonder whether it could be set up with some scoops or ducts under the truck to force air through it at speed or something.

the radiator isn't going in the bed its going under it which will be more difficult I think. Correct on the ducting , I have some ideas but I'll have to see if it works, who can tell. I'll try stuff till I run out of ideas and then if it don't work go another route. may end up being a cobbled up mess but the more I look at this I'm thinkin that's the theme of this truck

A few small updates, aint had to much time lately. the steering is all welded up and mounted to fit. I made the seats, yes I know they look like cafeteria seats but once covered and the bottom riser finished they will be good. They are comfortable and that's the main thing for across country trips. Mounted the fuel filter and plumbed up the fuel rails, reg , and return, I wont run the line until I switch everything over to the actual engine that will be going in the truck. Roughed up some remote coil mount brackets that will be placed on the engine sides rear of engine mountes. I will be able to use the stock wires .

A few updates, I finally got the intercooler mounted where it goes. It just needs the welds cleaned up and the mounting holes drilled. The downpipes are ran through the fenders, I think I have everything plumbed engine wise. I made the steam vent lines and wastegate lines out of stainless, I don't know if I like them or not may change to black braided later, turbo oil supply lines are stainless also.

A few more pics. the down pipe holes thru the fenders need to be dressed and beaded around holes. We got mufflers that will be mounted at the same angle as the fender line and come out at the lower rear of the front fenders. I don't know how loud this will be without mufflers, may not need any. This is getting old quick a lot of work but it doesn't seem like much progress.Next block and final coat of primer on the cab so I can start the center console to mount holley dominator kit and fuse panel inside of it.

He tore it apart this winter to paint the frame and clean everything up. Got it going last year, drove it a little and made one quick trip to the track but had issues. It'll be back in action and completed soon. He's a friend and neighbor.
