Default Twin Turbo 33 pickup

Thought I'd share some pics of something I've been wanting to try, I have no ls or turbo experience but I like these old trucks so I'm giving it a try. I had another cab and a few ideas and after throwing some parts around decided it was a bad idea but started anyway.

Just my opinion, you may need one more 2x4 on the passenger side to correct engine angle! HAHA just kidding. This will be awesome to watch, love the old pickups!!

frame is done, polished a-arms, front suspension and rear has a few polished parts. 12 front wilwwod rotors and 10.5 on the rear with polished calipers, 9 inch posi with 3.25 gear. Its kind of a one off frame with a few different specs, narrowed, stretched two inches in front with 32 frame horns and narrowed rails front to back. wife aint crazy about the parts in the house

I have a mock up motor for now, engine is a 05 l33 that will have a pair of precision 6262s. I have a tick stage 2 turbo cam, brian tooley 660 spring kit, ls9 head gaskets, holley hi-ram intake. I don't know I may use the stock cam, still undecided if I will open up the ring gaps or not. E85 is not real close were I'm at. I tigged up some 304 headers. I somewhat satisfied with how they look. There is NO room to work with on these trucks. I for sure wanted the turbos placed directly behind head lights from the front view.

headers, tried to keep them at a similar angle to the fender lines but with a dedicated turbo placement it was tough, mocked up several ideas and settled on this, they are very close to matches side to side from the collector back. should of bought mirror image turbos, this little uneven stuff kind of gets on my nerves some

I've got a "glass" 32 coupe with an injected 355 in it. All I can say is "HANG ON." The narrow track, relatively lightweight and short wheelbase make for a handful. I'd guess my coupe would run 11.0s maybe 10.90s based on trap speed and it's really nothing special. You're going to have your hands full and you'll enjoy the heck out of it. Nice work!

intercooler work, this is a total experiment. the core is 22x16.5. it will be placed where the radiator was originally.

Wait, did nobody else catch the truck went from green to red kinda overnight! Did I miss something here (scratching head)? Definitely one of if not the sickest builds around! Keep it up, looks like quick progress and really clean work. Those welds are purgealishish!

not really overnight , I been working on this heap for about 3 months and am just now figuring out how to use the computer. I thought I would kinda start at the beginning of the build. The cab was green , soda blasted and etching primer then red primer in the same day though. Right now I'm trying to figure out how and where to run the lines for the remote mezeire water pump so I can get the waste gates welded in.

I know this guy, he's the real deal when it comes to home shop fabrication.

Radiator is going in the truck bed, I believe he's going to use a remote mount electric Mezier 55gph pump. Truck bed aerodynamics and cooling presents and interesting situation.
