This isn't my first ls swap in a g body. I always use the truck pan with no issues at all. Thanks..

On the turbo how much longer is it from inlet to outlet? I was considering making the change myself but I don't have a lot of room towards the front if I want to keep and air filter. Is it larger in diameter? it doesn't look like it in the pictures. Thanks for the help.

It's funny when people say that it is too low. As an old school hot rodder it just reminds me of a deep sump Milodon or the like. Guys have been running them that way for years. That said I did have my first incident a couple months ago. Drug it on the ground while deep into boost and hit a dip in the road. But I am still not worried about it enough to change it.

Most definitely.. I'm sure the gt45 would have be ok, but I would be leaving some power on the table with my particular setup as I had been told.still waiting on my turbo log to come in but I'll update as soon as it does

Thanks for the pic's! Interesting I thought it would be a twin scroll. Can we get a weight on that 77/83 VS the Gt45 weight? Maybe pop off the compressor/exh housing and get a shot of the wheel designs? (gotta check it for damage anyway right?

didnt mean to imply you didnt know what you didnt know what you were doing. Just thought if you didnt want the low hanging truck oil pan, I would send you this Hummer pan for $20.00 or something. Good luck with your project.
