Thats weird, does the belt sit perfectly on the spring tensioner pulley? I know you can put the belt on that with one or more ribs off to one side of it?

Congrats on getting some decent #'s!

Let's drill down those numbers and theorize a bit...

462rwhp
+50rwhp to compare to locked A4
+25rwhp for rearend/big slick losses
---------
537rwhp

Any idea what your timing was at peak HP? In the teens?

Bos, I have one of those giant E-1796 air filters you can try if you want. I swapped back and forth on the dyno and picked up nothing from it but you are trying to move a lot more air then I am so it may help a little.

Not to be a dick but for comparison I dynod 441/495 @ 7.5 psi with a stock motor, 4200 converter, TH350, 9" ford/3.7 with 27" ET streets and it was 100 degrees in the shop. I dont remember the IATs but they were up there.

Sure seems like an aweful lot of work for 20rwhp

Yea I know, its no dyno queen I have a feeling my coverter is sucking up some power too, feels a lot more loose than a "normal" 4000

I got one of the huge air filters, but I can't fit it at all

Yea, thats whats getting at me too, my stock motor dyno #'s if I remember correctly were in the same 460's range.....

I got it to fit, had to drop the RH intercooler, stick it up there and put it back together. I just let them hang on the dyno and it didnt make any difference for me, it sure is big though

You can tell how bad your converter is by the rpm difference between what the dynojet says and the actual rpm, the bigger the difference the looser the converter.

I was in the 470s with the 10 bolt/M6 at 6.5psi, I figured I lost around 35-40rwhp from the auto/9"/ET streets. Mt trans is pretty light inside though but its still a 9" back there.

At least the belts didnt slip

Bos are you planning on bringing your car down to the N/S shootout on sat?? I would like to see your set up. You can take a look at my ATI dampner if you want to, I know you and PSJ were asking about my pulley sizes, Sorry I have not had time to get under the car for measurements yet.

Its no dyno queen, I want to get it to the track to see how it currenlty does......

I'm not worried about what it puts out on the dyno for now, its at least a start, this opened all the doors I was waiting for

I want to put a 236/240 cam in it, 600ish for lift, 114 lsa most likely, I figure thats good for at least 40rwhp with the motor setup, my curren't 214/218 .540/.550 is great and all, it idles like a stock LS1, but its not there for the power, closer look at the dyno sheets showed peak power around 5900......

I'm getting a Griffin FMIC identical to PSJ's in the next week or so, It will take 3-4 weeks to get made, so I'll be waiting for that and hopefully get to the track in that time to see what it has currently in it.......

The car runs like a raped ape on the street as it sits, but I know what more boost feels like because I saw it with the cogs, but they were a very poor setup, a 3.2" pulley might be in the future, but I'll wait to see how much the FMIC kicks me up, I saw 10psi on the street tonight when it got colder out......it was in the high 50's around here, eariler when it was about 80 or so I fried the 28x12's I got in the back from a first gear roll, I was suprised at that, I just hope I can hook then at the track off the brake

I guarantee you will pick up at LEAST 40RWHP With that change.

Good luck, glad to see it is coming together for you now
