To give you an idea of how much less the demand is vs 85. I run id1300s. On e50 I went 165 at 3280lbs on 50 base and never even broke 80% IDC. May of been 75 even I'd have to look back
I originally started blending to get rid of the black goo... Which it does. The other stuff is just side benefits, especially the lack of consumption
Couple years ago on my old 10:1 motor I forgot to turn on my intercooler pump on for a pass. Full timing in of 21* on e50 it was fine, car slowed down a couple mph but no damage or rattle. Just as well of been no IC
honestly on my turbo cobalt I have never checked the alcohol content from any of the stations I use.
tune stays the same all year round, might get a tad richer with less alcohol. but never see any Kr or any other differences.

Same here, That's why i find it amusing to see some much attention/emphasis on minor % changes.
Here in the Albany NY area the cheapest station I've seen is $1.86 for 87 octane and $1.79 for E85. It was much cheaper when the government was subsidizing it. Used to be about 2/3 the cost of 87.
The mixing idea is very interesting to me also. We have 91 octane pure unleaded now at the Stewarts in the area. I may look into mixing it with E85 as Forcefed86 suggested and see what happens. Worst case hopefully the Holley system will compensate if there is an issue.
Sitting under 70% a hair here. (prob right at 70 looks like a did a poor job filling the vial) Usually stays like this year round at the station by my house. De-winterized yeserday and filled up with this. Took 5% out of my E85 tune and I was still rich around 10.6 or so with a commanded 11.0 @ 16lbs. Nothing blew up, so I'm rolling with the lower percentage fuel this year.
Same price as regular unleaded...

Sorry, I am a little confused. Are you saying you are targeting 11.0:1 AFR @ 16psi with E70?
Didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with 11.0:1. I just bought a batch last week here in Orlando and oddly enough got E70 and plan to run E70 permanently. I see a lot folks here claiming good performance with 11.0 - 11.5 and thought 11.0 for E70 seemed a little fat in comparison and wanted to be sure that was what he meant.
Think I target for 11.5 AFR up to a 10-12lbs. Set 10:1 AFR at 30lbs and interpolate between the two so I go slightly richer as the boost rises. Also pulling/adding fuel to individual cyls to get the plugs to read similar. I just shoot for a full turn of color on the base ring. 11.5 and 10.8 look pretty darn similar on an E85 plug. (to me anyway)
I figure if peak rich power on e85 is 10.5 AFR on gas scale (.71 lambda) it’s better to have a little more fuel in the CC at the higher boost levels.
