Default Twin Turbo C3 Vette build in progress

Time for another quick build thread. Doing a twin turbo LS conversion on my wife's 75 vette. I did the engine swap and a single turbo last year. Now I've moved the radiator forward 3 inches, fabricating a twin setup and going E85. If there's any interest I'm happy to add more details....just let me know what you want to see.

Lol...I designed around that. Plugs are easy to get to, although drivers side has to be changed from below. But we have a lift, so its cool.

How do you plan on handling the intercooler setup and piping?

Switching to E85 and ditching the intercooler. I fit a small one in there last year but I think it probably caused more of a restriction than anything.

glad to see you running E85, what are you using for engine management?

Non intercooled E85 seems to work pretty well!! it's the secret sauce for boost

you guys are inspiring me. I have an old c3 "mutt" for sale that is a beautiful car and is begging for a TT C3

I'll post up some pics of the custom setup I have and if the car doesn't sell, might getting the old SB chevy pulled for a little 4.8 iron block TT with a pair of t60 t04 turbos and front mount intercooler

I have some 127 FIC injectors which should be enough.

also, what are you doing for the rear end? the old c3 stuff will pop pretty quick if you hook up all that oooooffff dah those hair dryers will provide

nice build! I'm a huge corvette fan (have c3 c4 ZR-1, c5 TT Z06) and love to see a custom c3

the lines are that car are still the quintessential vette to me.

lots of "dangerous curves"

I'm using the Holley HP on this one. Its pretty easy to tune and very flexible. Yeah my TT camaro is on E85 and I love it. No knock all the way up to 23psi.

This is my wifes car, she's a huge corvette fan. She's had this C3 since she was 19, also a black C5 and is going to upgrade that soon to a C6.

I think the C3 is really an under-appreciated platform. Relatively light, full-frame car with independent rear suspension. We did forged internals, a built 4L80e, custom driveshaft, solid joints and the car already had the 3" half-shafts. The last weak point will be the diff, but its just a street car with street tires, so its not gonna hook. If it breaks we'll upgrade it

even lighter with the ls swap are you also controlling the 480 with the holley dominator? I've got a truck 480LE lying around that is just dying to go into the c3 I have a BB 496 chevy or a TT 4.8 and even though the 4.8 TT is way more complex a swap, it's also a great build

thanks for posting. happy wife = happy life!! great you found a lady that appreciates a few ponies under the hood

car looks great!

Using a Quick1 controller from USShift on the 80. No doubt the LS swap is no picnic. Takes a lot of time and money, but for my preference...I'd never want the weight of a bbc again, and the cost to make big hp on a bbc isn't cheap either. So its LS all the way for me!!

nice work and like the color, not easy making a C3 look cool! Looking forward to this build, have you worked with Holley's EFi much so far? Haven't heard much negative feedback other than spendy, yet anything capable of so much usually isn't cheap... have fun!

Its my understanding that early C3s were in the 3300 - 3400 range depending on options like AC, power windows, etc. Later models were heavier.. 3500. Still not bad for a beefy full frame car.

I have the Holley HP on 2 cars and like it for the most part. It has a lot of options and is easy enough for a novice to start learning how to tune. It also does a very good job self-tuning the fuel table. You still have to read up though, and know how to set up timing tables, ignition settings, proper IAC values, etc. I asked a lot of questions on this site, bullet and holley forums.
