x2 from many years and build experiences. And I am just now starting to follow my own advice. You can do quite a bit for 20k if you're a good fabricator/engine builder/wrench/painter etc... Otherwise if you're paying guys to do it for you, it spends quickly. What are your skills? ET goals?

Can do Mostly any thing just dont know what direction to go. Was planing on doing all the work my self.

I want to go turbo. But not sure if I should keep the ls1 or swap it with a different ls motor. Want to be over 1000 hp

I think some research is in order, never heard of an LS being over 1000hp EVER, might need to read some magazines or something!! Set Goal, make a Plan, buy lots of parts, assemble and Tune for desired goal! See very simple,,, spend lots of $$$$$
