Check into my thread on how I made my intercooler fit my nova. I kept my hood latch.

It is hard finding time in the garage ugh... I usually will be 2-3 hours late night on a weekend evening as family obligations take priority. I should have named this project midnight lol

splurged and got this nice computer mount off ebay to put it in the glove box

Picked up the $25 Columbia River "B stock" bends special in 3 inch to start building my downpipe. It turned out good even with my slop style welds.

Best location for my wideband is 18 inches away from the turbo exhaust housing correct?

I have finished a bit of wiring and am waiting on my harness re-work from kenny w ls wiring conversions. Things will move quickly from there!

Ordered my couplers and a bunch of odds and ends over the weekend that I need. Decided on 2.5 intercooler piping to save space. Had a chuckle when I bought the intake coupler from "Ilovetaco" on ebay (recommended by the Denmah).

I wanted to stick to my budget, but I also didn't want to constantly throw belts so I sprung for the dirty dingo ps delete alternator bracket rather than cutting off my ps pump bracket.... bling is always good right?

I don't have too much left to until firing this up. Lil more fab work and some plumbing....

Using a transgo check ball to keep boost from going back into the trans

15 dolla amazon distribution block plumbed up for vacuum sources and AEM tru boost solenoid plumbed in

Using a derale transmission cooler from Amazon warehouse for a bargain of course... all wired up and plumbed. I ended up using black nylon braided versus the original china braided, which cut very inconsistently

Waiting on a trans filter, gasket, and an npt bulkhead fitting for the temp sensor... once that is all in, I will be ready to get my base tune in.

I can take a few pics for you. Obviously ford 9 inch with afco shocks relocated and a crossbar added between the rails with mounts on it along with new leafs and comp engineering slide a links. DSE mini tub as well, but since this is a poverty build I re-used a set of tires and rims off another car. Should be able to fit 12 inch wide tire with 5.5 BS back there in the future.

Got the trans pan tapped and everything back together... I used the nice bronze screen tci filters on it as well... fluid looked awesome!

I have started putting my trim pieces back on and realized that I never bought windshield molding trim so more $$ to the budget lol... Overall I think it looks pretty mean for now. Eventually I want a 15X10 rear tire with possibly rally wheels powdercoated and some nice drag radials.

I am having quite a time getting the fragola push lite fittings to seat properly on my main fuel feed line. It is about 4 years old and when I heat it up, it will slip on, but not budge to fully seat in the cap... Using a heat gun to get it pliable, but may try the boiling water as well.

As it sits now... just needing me to finish the main fuel feed line

wider tires and rims just not in the budget right now, but some 15x10's will fit nicely in the future lol

Got my lap belt harnesses mounted, last gauge wired, and th400 electric kickdown wired...

made a mount for the ecu as well (welds improving haha)

Added alittle special touch for one of my favorite flicks with a Nova in it

Will have a running video this coming weekend. I started it and verified wiring was good along with fixing a small fuel leak, but it won't idle without tuning and vats delete.

Ohh after doing alot of research and seeing how the cost / benefit ratio is so in favor of methanol injection... I will definitely be buying one of those budget setups soon. Probably snow stage 1 for 280 bucks off ebay.... will have it start spraying at 10lbs or lower?

Do you know what type of headers you will be using? I'm doing a 5.3 swap on my 73 Nova and I'm looking for a pair of longtubes to buy that won't have any clearance issues with the frame or any other part of the vehicle or engine bay??

I havent got a ton of time on my diy meth kit, but if youre spraying 70/30 i'd start lower. and use a bigger nozzle than they recommend a single number 10 nozzle isnt enough to see iat's drop.

i might even add another nozzle pre-compressor

looks great man, almost there!

Well before thrashing or throwing any boost to it, I realized I made a mistake. Apparently the BTR turbo cams are all designed for a dual spring, so I will be upgrading those along with the pushrods here soon as budget and time allows. Anyone wanna buy some pac1218's lol....

Looking great man!!! I think you'll be OK with those springs for a while so long as you arent getting into coil bind and revving it to the moon. But eventually you probably should go to the duals.
